This B list model who got some serious flack very recently for saying what everyone thinks was on the hunt for a woman for a threesome this weekend. Her boyfriend told her he would dump her if she didn't find someone. When asked why she put up with it she says he is good looking and rich.

Not sure if it has been covered here (I'm a newbie) but apparently Naomi Campbell's billionaire Russian boyfriend left her for one of the models she mentored on her show - a 6' tall Chinese girl. Shades of Wendi Deng!

Aside from being tall and skinny, the girl isn't all that. Naomi is much more beautiful.

ReplyDelete@Derek in point of fact, many models are not actually considered "attractive" because it's a certain set of features that photographs well and not "pretty". I personally find Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen to be very unattractive girls.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if you know this one but Sergey Brin (co-founder of Google) fell prey to a woman who went to work at Google, she's Eurasian from Hong Kong, went to work at Google (on Google Glass which is one of Sergey's pet projects), had a boyfriend who was an executive at Google, and she set her sights on Sergey and snared him. Never mind he has a wife and two kids. They're now separated and he's still working and carrying on with the Google Glass girl. Bad for morale, and his co-founder Larry Page could barely speak to him for months. He just turned 40, maybe it was a midlife crisis.
There's a certain type of woman I think of as the mistress/wife ... there was this woman named Pamela Harriman who perfected that in the 30's and later. She married Churchill's son, then she seduced and married a succession of ever more wealthy and powerful men. She wasn't all that, beauty-wise, but she was always impeccably dressed, ready to service her men and keep them coming back for more, and she kept getting them to marry her! She actually came from a wealthy titled family, unlike the Asian mistress types...

ReplyDeleteIf you only knew who I hang out with and date in my real life you'd laugh at how far off the mark that comment was.
I don't have a problem with gold diggers at all, regardless of what background they come from ... I actually admire the ruthless determination it takes to be one, because it is a LOT of work.
I hadn't known that Pamela Harriman came from a wealthy titled famiy until I read it yesterday; I thought it was an interesting factoid, nothing more.
If you read anything else into it you're trying too hard - there was absolutely no intention there other than to say "Hmmm, gold diggers can come from all backgrounds."
Sergey Brin's girlfriend came from an entirely different background than Wendi Deng. She was born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK. She went to Marlborough College with Pippa Middleton, Kate Middleton's sister, and ran with a smart set. Her boyfriend from those days said she was incredibly ambitious.
BTW there is a story in this month's Vanity Fair about the Google scandal.
I liked her until she backed off Swifty. Nachos is a long time pig.
