Blind Items Revealed

October 2, 2013

This former A+ list singer of a strangely named group who is now probably a B+ lister who will remain there forever has a 19 year old boyfriend and he makes the teen call the singer grandpa. How is that a turn on?

Michael Stipe

  6. Brilliant and creative types often have weird warped senses of humor. Just saying.

  7. I always knew Stipe was pretty dodgy though. He was best friends with Courtney Love for a really long time.

  8. Maybe he sould have asked him to call him Superman

  9. No, not strange at all - unless, of course, he makes the lad sit on his lap and asks him to fish quarters out of his pants pockets.

  10. What's the Frequency, Kenneth?

Stipe will always be A+ list to me.

  11. Eh, I have a friend of a friend whose nickname is Grandpa, just because he's grouchy. Maybe Stipe is just a big old grump. I could see it. Or maybe he's a weirdo - I could also see that. I totally don't care, btw; he now and forever will be a cool cat in my book.

  12. This is complete bs. Michael is a friend of mine as is his bf, who is an adult in his late 30s. If there's any grandpa calling, it's a joke.

  13. Wow..What's REALLY horrible is the fact that I saw them when they started coming up outta Athens and they are like maybe 2 years older than me. Watched them play before 75 people at Viceroy Park in CLT..Yup call me grandma. God we were so fucking cool then!

    1. Then I'm old, too. I saw them at the 40 Watt Club in Athens right before they got huge. Good times! :)

    2. Never saw 'em and not a huge fan save for GREEN, but he attended high school and worked at the Waffle House not very far from the couch on which my posterior is currently planted. ;-)

  14. Losing his religion indeed

  15. As (forever A+) Michael Stipe famously said, "It's nobody's business what I do with my cock, unless they're sitting on my lap."

  16. This whole scenario reminds me of a pic I saw on /r/spacedicks, titled Family Reunion.

    U wnt be disappointed, Derek.
My favorite part was when Sophia told Farrah she looks evil.

  18. Sprink requoting nails it. But... Grandpa? So if he had grandson he'd want to sleep with him? Creepy.

  19. Oh geebs, I can't laughing at this. "Spank me Gramps" gahhh now I feel like I need to shower.

  20. Oh, and one of my fav quotes about plastic sugery was from cher:"So i've had alot of sugery but not as much as people think. Anyway, its my body and if i want to sew my tits to my back, thats my business." She's right!! Lol

  21. I hate to say this but is he replaying something from his youth? I believe some people manifest childhood trauma in their adult kink, like spanking.

  22. I don't care what he likes being called...the man is a legend

  23. Leave Stipe ALOOOOONE!!
Forever A+++++ if just for the magnificent a Capella version of "Summertime" he performed in Sydney in 1990...made me bawl like a baby....

  24. This is probably the funniest blind item I have ever read on here.

  25. I will adore him forever regardless!

  26. Uff, if this is true it's a bit off in a 'consenting adults' kinda way.

@Pleezay, can you please tell me how Michael Stipe felt about his songs being used so much on Beverly Hills 90210? I think they had 'losing my religeon' on loop for the soundtrack. Any opinion ever expressed about that?

  27. @Pleezay... Didn't need to hear it from you, Enty (and most other gossip sources) have trouble discerning fact from reality. A thirty-something is suddenly a teenager and someone in a restaurant hears someone in their general vicinity mention their grandpa, and voila~ a rumor is born! Michael Stipe has been the frontman of one of the most popular bands of the last couple decades - if he were truly a deviant it would've gotten out long before now. Of course this is BS.
