Blind Items Revealed

October 4, 2013

About two years ago this actor was right there at A list. The his first solo film came out and bombed and he has steadily dropped to a B-. No franchise to keep him artificially boosted. His latest movie was supposed to be his return to A list but his acting is so bad that the script had to be revised and he is being edited out of as much of it as possible while still using his name to sell it.

Taylor Lautner

  2. Agree. He really needs a voice coach, his voice has a strange pitch/timber to it.

  3. Those Twilight movies sure did churn out some no talent peeps. So many if them

  6. gmd jr. should get some new script genres and stay away from mission impossible jr.

  7. He was amazing on Barney and Friends

  8. @Reno, they had to cast according to the script though, right? I don't see why Kristen didn't get an honorable Oscar mention for best headshake, though.

  9. He does seem nice, in a "bless his heart" way. I don't think I've ever seen any of his movies, though

    1. Sadly I think Entys talking about his new movie shot last summer. Tracers would've been in editing by that time.

    5. I finally bought the first one just to see what the hullabaloo was all about a few months after its DVD release. I was convinced I would hate it. I loved it and I caught my husband rewatching SEVERAL times all by himself. Thats when I realized it probably had subliminal hypnotic suggestions or they painted the film with a new secret visual crack cocaine. I couldn't even make it through the second one and didn't make any further attempts at the rest. But I'll still watch the fuck out of the 1st one!

    6. @TTM Whatever. I question your commitment to Sparkle Motion.

(Note: these vampires sparkle in sunlight. Let that swish around in your brain)

  17. I could barely finish book one, never mind sit through an entire movie that stars some of the most unappealing people on the planet. If you can do it TTM go for it.

    1. Audrey, I didn't read them either, because I am so not the demographic (shirtless 18 year-old boys make me queasy and not in a good way) but I did read 50 Shades of Grey which apparently started it's life as Twilight fan-fiction, so I may know the bones of it. Who ties up who in what red room?

I saw about ten minutes (or maybe five) of Abduction on Netflix or Amazon, and he was SO BAD, I felt sorry for him. He can.not. act. Why doesn't someone tell him that and encourage him to take some acting lessons.

  20. I actually read a thread on reddit the other day about people who knew celebs before the fame and how they had changed. One kid said he went to school with Taylor for years and he was a total ass, then the Shark Boy movie hit and he just launched into douchedom. Since he was such an ass people bullied him which made him even more of a dick. Kinda sad, but some other guy had a similar story about knowing Taylor pre Twilight and how he was horrible post. Gotta love Reddit.

  21. Seriously the US needs to really get more actors who been to acting school, don't just cast them because they look a certain way and it's not to late for the kid, get thee to a drama school Taylor

You don't go to acting school in the UK you just aren't going to get access to roles as it should be

  22. @Kristen--the sparkling gave me some WTF moments...but it was the whole watching Bella while she was sleeping thing that had be creeped out. Like what the hell? Stalking is romantic? The fact that so many young girls and some old enough to know better women found that an appealing character trait really bothered me.

I agree ... Edward was quite a dick (200 years of built-up angst) in some parts of the book (I listened to the audiobook).

    ReplyDelete
  24. He seems like a nice guy but there is no it factor about him. The only way he even got to keep his role was to bulk up not improve his acting which was sorely needed.

He would be fine on a soap opera but he isn't leading man material.

  27. I'll just point out, because I saw someone else point it out, and now it can't be unseen and just draws the eye every time you look at the guy: Lautner has a freakishly long neck. Kid's a giraffe, basically.

    You're welcome.

  28. His hotness was probably the best thing about the Twilight movies and made them bearable for me to watch. If he had better management who could guide him to roles better suited to him (limited speaking) he could have done much better.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Alexa - trying to work this one out ... his management needs to guide him to roles that have limited speaking but take advantage of his sex appeal.

Hmmm ... What genre does that sound like?

  30. To all those looking for a way to watch Twilight, go to Rifftrax and buy the mp3 commentary track for a couple dollars. It's the same guys from Mystery Science Theater. You just play the track with the movie and every bad movie is instantly better. It got me through the Wicker Man remake.
