    Thank god for Kate Winslet; I was feeling very old and get off my lawn-ish. I will say Shailene Woodley looks lovely here although I'm not sure why she is dressed up as a tree

    I read these books with my kids. I was pleasantly surprised with the casting of Ashley Judd and Kate Winslet as Tris' mom and the leader of Edudite. I hope it is good. Taking them to see it this weekend, but would it be asking too much to have a young adult series that wasn't so bleak and post-apocalyptic?!

    @Oopsy - have y'all read the I Am Number Four series? Yes, it's all gotta save the earth and stuff, but it's not full on apocalypse (at least not the first few that I've read). I enjoyed them, as did my 15 year old.

    @Oopsy - glad to help - hope y'all like them. Just asked my son - he also suggested the Percy Jackson series, if you haven't read them. (Reading level is possibly below YA, but still very enjoyable.) He also said you can't go wrong with Sherlock Holmes - the classics, to quote him :-). Also, the Cryptid Hunters series by Roland Smith, Super Human series by Michael Carroll, and the Eragon quadrilogy by Christopher Paolini. Happy Reading!
