Blind Item #3

This A+ list entertainer(singer) gave her new bff very specific instructions for their recent get together and the most important was that no guys were allowed. The bff had to leave her boyfriend at home for the two day fun fest. Our A+lister doesn't like to be or perceived to be a third wheel. If the bff couldn't agree with that, then there would be no meeting.

  4. Sugarbread and Heisenberg are on it today!

  5. I so want to think Swifty is a beacon of normality in the world of nut jobs that is entertainment. But I fear she might turn out to be madder than them all in the end.

  6. But who's the new bff?

Swifty goes through them more than bfs!

Also hi folks ... am briefly up with you :)

    Wow, Miss Stricty-Pants

  8. Should be interesting to watch Taylor Swift's life spool out. It sure seems like she's building herself a creepy little boxed-in existence. Otherworldly person.

  9. weird. if she had invited another person, it could have been an even number, plus more star power.

i dont understand her one-on-one thing.

  10. Lorde for the bff

  11. Fine, maybe Swift is a psycho control freak or whatever. Fame can mask a lot of crazy.

That said, I think she just has an agenda (a very benign one) to demonstrate positive friendships with other women. Too often, the media gins up these fake cat-fights and feuds over everything from "Who Wore It Better" to who stole who's man.

So Swift making sure to go out and be seen with peers -- from Lorde to those two recent models -- I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.

Also, a Girl's Day is a Girl's Day. No, I don't want to hang out in the relaxation room at the spa with your BF or drag him through Nordstrom's for three hours or talk about what positions I was in the night before with my one night stand in front of him over cosmos b/c you two are *inseparable*.

    1. Your post made me happy NomNom. Especially the bit about reasons why she can't bring along the boyfriend.

Some people seem to think that makes Taylor a nut job control freak. To me it makes her totally normal and full of common sense.

  14. Word NomNom83. My thoughts exactly.

My BFF from high school would say we were going to hang out and then she'd bring that creepy guy she was dating and they would spend the entire time making out. Oh they were nice enough to once "suprise" me with a blind date who couldn't have been more wrong for me and also 5 inches shorter. And I wanted to hang out with her. NOT a crowd of rednecks from Gastonia.

If you can't stand be be away from your boyfriend for 48 hours then you're a little too dependent.

  15. This is Swifty. The "new" bff gave it away.

  16. I don't think it's weird that Swifty didn't want Hyland to bring her boyfriend along. What for? Fine if it's a bunch of people or two couples, but who wants a boyfriend along for a girl's day out?

  17. Haven't we all had a friend at some point wants to bring her BF along to everything even out shopping, which ruins the day?

  18. Swiftly and karlie kloss

  19. Taylor Swift. That girl is quite the weirdo.

  20. This bearded besties press tour for the last few months is so bizarre. It would be smarter for her to go out in more groups of girls (like Lily and Karlie and her) or to like host a dinner and post a picture of six or seven girls together. Trotting out one friend for two days, then picking up a new one reads so phony to me, even without my "insider" blind knowledge. Plus all of the New York time she's put in recently, with the tabloid spotlights on her new outfits and her charity work (which is of course excellent and admirable), seems like this was some kind of planned promotional event to move her brand from "obsessed with boys" to "likes shopping, doing good deeds, and hanging with her besties". I mean, it's worked - all of her news coverage is about her style or new friends now and not about boys - but what a convoluted way about it.

  21. Poor little rich girl, crying through the smiles.

  22. I was just checking her wiki. She was traveling for talent contests by 11. Family moved to nashville when she was 14 to pursue her career. Homeschooled through some private academy her senior year so she could travel. There is a chance that this kid doesn't have any real friends and these faux friendships are all she really has. Given her background with failed relationships and faux friendships/relationships she is in a no win situation with the media and public.

  23. Does anyone like being the third wheel? I know I don't.

I have a love/hate thing with Swift. I don't see anything wrong here.

  24. Taylor Swift and the purse that's permanently attached to her arm.

    ReplyDelete
  25. that should have been "easy easy"...I figured that out after reading the first line!!!!

  26. Taylor at least keeps her clothes on, and she has a nice style. Plus she is wildly popular and wealthy, but she works hard and invests her money wisely. The young kids now days need positive roll models and she takes that seriously. I give her a pass. Far wackier behavior in the entertainment world to leer at besides her.

Also, who cares about her sexuality?! If I'm not in a relationship with someone I really don't care what sex, anyone sleeps, or doesn't sleep with. Some people are straight and some are gay. So? That's why so many stay in the closet publicaly and that's always a burden on that individual. I respect Kevin Spacey and NPH because THEY chose how they live in public and both are fantastically talented. I want to see those with true talent rise.

At least we have walked away from caring about race in relationships.

I still enjoy reading about the assholes in life. They come in all orientations, race, religions and talent levels. Out bad behavior so I can save my money and time.

  27. i don't understand the hate either when i want to spend time w/ my female friend and her man shows up i become the 3rd wheel and it pisses me off and i'd rather leave and i was the one who planned the time together to start with..it's either all girls or double date.. leave Taylor alone..go shat on the biebs

  28. "i dont understand her one-on-one thing."

I don't know if she can handle the Goopster selfie-type scenario. Conjecture on her mental health aside, she does seem at least socially awkward and doesn't feel comfortable in large groups like that.

I have no issue with the girls' day out. It's the intimation that this was a directive; that doesn't sound like besties to me.

  29. No problems with her decision not to be third wheel. Some couples are fun to hang out with and some are just AWKWARD.

  30. Swifty is harmless, for the most part, she uses people and drops them like a hot rock, but its pretty much just high school bullshit. She is just a shallow superficial person, and if her people are ok w it, then whatever. I just get annoyed when I hear "role model." That has to end.
