This actor is almost A list. Really close. Right there at the brink. he is also an Academy Award winner/nominee. Oh, and he is an a-hole. Over the past few years you have had glimpses of what an a-hole he can be and some of that behavior has been written about here on the site in posts and in blinds. He is vindictive and is not a fan of women in general as many of the women have found out he has encountered. Have you noticed that he never dates anyone longer than a week or two and that he usually confines himself to one night stands?
Well, a lot of it comes from his violent past. He has talked a little bit about it but has really hedged his bets so to speak by pretending he never was involved and was just a witness. Not even close to being true. Our actor was right there for the gang rapes and the beatings. He was not only a participant but a leader too. Today when he goes out with people he shows that same kind of violent streak. One B list actress who went out with him once says he was fine in public but when they were alone she was scared she wasn't going to get out of there alive because he changed so dramatically. Another woman says she was followed by him constantly and that she too feared he would break in and attack her after she spurned his advances.
It makes you wonder if he will be able to contain his violent behavior as he grows older or if it will really show itself and land the actor where he belongs. Jail.

I just posted a day or two before that scandal leaked that meeting young girls in hotels for quickies was EXACTLY his MO. It may have gotten publicity, but that shit was straight up EMBARRASSING.

DeleteWoah! That is a dangerous reveal. Assault and rape is a pretty serious accusation. Not sure if I buy this blind since it sounds like 4th hand information, and we all know how reliable that is. Was he running around with gangs as a teen, or is this rape assault thing more recent, like something that would happen at a college party?

The guy certainly thinks very highly of himself, and he seems perfectly willing to take chances with his career (General Hospital, that book which I haven't read but heard it was pretentious, or semen on a Batman mask etc) but I'd still do him. As long as he was cleaned up down there. I do have standards.
Victims of sexual violence do not come forward for a number of reasons, not the least of which is their often shoddy treatment by law enforcement, re-victimization in the judicial process, and the shaming process dominant culture indulges in to maintain secrecy and suggest normality around all acts of violence directed at women. A predator is a predator. Whether you get that 'vibe' or not. This disbelief stated by other commenters is evidence enough of the absence of validity ascribed to victims claims of abuse.

He went from smiling in the first photo he sent, to super persistent and desperate, trying everything to convince her to sleep with him, to a creepy, angry guy flipping her off all within a few minutes. I was skeptical about the young woman who released those texts, thinking she was after a quick climb to fame, and I also thought that she might have left bits out of what was handed over - just releasing a selection. But now, after reading Enty's reveal, I'm not so sure. And I've met people who can change rapidly like that, so now this is just ... creepy ... disturbing. She had a lucky escape! I don't find him remotely attractive, but he doesn't give me the straight-up creep factor that someone like Josh Brolin or Matt Damon do either ... yuck.

I was surprised that one of the weekly womens' magazines here - 'New Idea' (we like to call it 'No Idea') - repeated Enty's reveal about Brad Pitt and Miranda Kerr a couple of weeks back, and apparently Angelina read the magazine and was furious. That, I can't imagine, as most (but not all) celebs don't bother to read all the tittle-tattle written about them, but I could imagine an assistant reading it and informing her. Anyhoo, because that particular story went viral in little old New Zealand, at the bottom of the planet, then imagine what would happen if this one did the same? I'm not sure it will, because James Franco isn't such a hot topic as Brad, Angelina and Miranda, in these parts ... but you never know.

The behavior typically escalates over time, but also can change due to illness or things like drug use. Watkins dated celebs like Fearne Cotton before started trying to rape babies. He became strung out on meth while in LA and his sex addiction and related behaviors then escalated.

You don't want to be re-victimized; you know that the initial reaction to accusations is disbelief; and sometimes (struggling on how to word this) you feel obligated to stay quiet out of respect and to avoid embarassment, say if it were a family member who were the abuser.

Victims do not come forward due to the ridicule and humiliation and shame heaped upon them for no good reason. And that's an even bigger heartbreak and shame. I'm just saying if this isn't true, it's a hell of an accusation against someone which isn't fair either. I'm not saying he's a douche or he's squeaky clean and the texts to the young girl the other day was creepy the more I thought about it. I met a guy at a gym and hung out with him a few times. He asked me out on a date. Took me to dinner and then said, let's have some more drinks. And somewhere in there said, I think it would be great to get a nice room at the Drake Hotel and make love looking out over the city (Chi Town). I nicely stated as it was the first date that was a little too fast for me.
He then proceeded to drive very fast and tell me that he paid for my dinner and I OWE him. Total change of personality from good guy to evil guy. It was horrifying!! AND he wouldn't slow down or stop at the place where I was staying. I seriously thought I was going to have to jump out of a moving car.
I felt shame and blame on myself. It was odd. He was the one who picked the restaurant and asked ME out. And if I weren't a poor actress/flight attendant I would have offered to pay for half as I normally did before and after. It wasn't like I didn't hang out with the guy for a while either! Just snapped. Glad I made it out alive.

I warn them - especially given the terrible things that go on in this country (just last week some guy killed a woman, leaving her body in her car boot parked in a supermarket, before picking up two foreign hitchhikers, attacking them and leaving them in a critical condition [doing okay now, but still in hospital]). And in this morning's Sunday paper I read about some guy being let out on bail who has a rare condition where he believes high profile strangers - TV reporters, politicians and the like - are in love with him, and he stalks them constantly.

ReplyDeleteIf you write something that you believe to be true and especially if you have some reasonable evidence to support your claims, it will be very hard to prove libel. That's why Enty dodges suits thus far. As long as he gets a tip or two in to back up something, he can write it with quite a low risk of being sued. Plus celebs tend to ignore blinds like these because drawing attention further to it often makes things worse, and they risk being compelled to open up about personal shit even more if they sue.
If Franco sues for libel, he would have to prove that Enty had mitigating knowledge of falsity or otherwise showed reckless disregard for the truth. That's hard to do and may not be worth the trouble, unless JF wants to risk being forced to open up all about his freaky sex life, and do so for the official record.
As I said earlier, I want to believe that this is all a misunderstanding- maybe all JF did was witness those kink shoots (which he did) that include rough shit like Public Disgrace etc. James frequented porn shoots of that nature, and a lot of those sets can be described as extreme S&M and gangbangs - some of these lead to physical injuries - but they are consensual (as I am aware). Because JF is promiscuous and definitely into rough shit, Enty can say he had further reason to believe tips of this nature to be true. I really hope that this is all BS, otherwise we could be looking at a huge problem with a lot of potential victims involved.
Either way, the texts were NOT a publicity stunt, as they made JF look like a total douche. However, Enty just gave JF EXACTLY what he needed with this shit. Way to go, buddy.

Then took her in front of everyone at the party they were at and sat her down naked in front of everyone. Then they all proceeded to laugh at her. Which set her up to be abused for years and years. All because she wasn't protected that first time.

The impact of the publication (CDaN) is also very limited in terms of damages -it's not a circulating magazine for example. @Liv, I think it's people not wanting to believe something of someone they like/admire, and yes, it's a huge part of the problem of victimization. People think they "know" someone and when something like this comes out, the victim is greeted with immediate skepticism.
ReplyDeleteThe flip side of the coin is that someone can also use allegations like this to destroy a person's life, so there has to be at least some skepticism until the allegations are proven (in so far as much as they can be).
@headrot It happens most of the time. There is still such a huge stigma attached to the victims of molestation/rape. It's sick that people blame the victim instead of the person who harmed them.

We are dismissing this story because it is on a gossip blog with no actual proof. And I hate to break it to you but some women have lied about being raped. It has happened. I personally believe in victims rights as a priority but it could easily be some jilted lover etc. spreading lies. I know of 2 girls who have claimed to be raped and later on admitted that is was a lie. Some woman are liars and very crazy. It is horrible because that is what makes people question scenarios that should have never been questioned in the first place. But to go around and tell people of events like this and not actually pursue it with the law is irresponsible. Its not some creep at a school yard or a man grabbing your ass at a bar. To claim to be a rape victim and tell others but not tell the police is cowardly. You are just allowing the guy to do it to more people...

ReplyDeleteVery true re sociopaths. A celebrity, especially a skilled actor such as James Franco, who is hiding this kind of activity would be very skilled at explaining things away, and in the end could have the victim/victims blaming themselves and not know whether they are coming or going.
James is not only a gifted actor, he is incredibly resourceful, attractive and highly intelligent. He clearly does not respond well to women denying his advances either. You add a young hot celebrity to the picture, we are talking about A LOT of potential victims.

Had James Franco not fucked up, this could have easily been Mickey Rourke, or any other actor dude with a bad reputation.
That said, no idea if it's true or not. Those are serious allegations, much worse than "actress handed her baby to airline passenger, cried, and drank whiskey in the lavatory" posts. If there is truth to the blind, someone needs to get the Feds in on it.

These stories about Franco have been around for years. This reveal is not difficult to believe and in my opinion it's true. However, the people who doubt it don't deserve to be shamed.
ReplyDeleteA college friend of mine was a thief. I had no idea. Things went missing, other friends began accusing her but I didn't believe it. I didn't see her that way and it was weird to think of someone I knew and liked as a thief. Eventually I learned the truth but prior to that I hadn't been re-victimizing her accusers or choosing to be a thief-supporter. It just took me a while to believe it.
People are allowed to doubt these allegations until more evidence is presented or until they come around. It doesn't make them women-hating rapist-enablers. It makes them human and it's not the worst thing about human nature.

ReplyDeleteMalibu is correct. You NEVER know what is really going on in another person's head or home until they make a mistake. I, for one, had no idea that somebody near and dear to me was one of the worst type of criminals out there until he messed up and got caught. Horrible people rarely walk around or acting like the stereotypical creepy guy.

DeleteI actually heard from a friend of mine about one of her friends who dated him for a bit, and he hit her when in private. Not in a consensual way. I always thought she was full of crap, and that was a BS story, but after this reveal, I buy it...

ReplyDeleteI worked with a guy with a personality like this recently. It was only for a couple of days, but felt like two days too long. He was quite polite on meeting, and seemed to be a quiet, reserved type of guy until something - and that could be anything (birds tweeting too loudly; people talking too loudly) set him off. And when that happened he would blow up into a great rage, shouting, slaming things onto tables, hissing with such fierce at people that he'd be spitting. He'd then retreat to his trailer, where he'd stay for a good period, holding up production and costing time and money. It was crazy. He had two assistant-type people who were constantly in fear of him, but doing whatever they could to 'make it better'. Stuff that. He doesn't have a partner now, but was married to a woman for quite a few years who finally had enough of the rage and violence and filed for divorce. Why do people like this keep getting work? And who the hell in their right mind would want to work for him? I made a comment to the casting director about it and she shrugged her shoulders and said he has a fan base, which they rely on for the production to be a success, so there's little they could do. At some point you have to say that the money isn't THAT good. There's a special place in hell for people like this.

DeleteThe disclaimer at the bottom of the page doesn't mean a thing. I could put a disclaimer on my car saying "The driver is not responsible for any damage caused by this car." and it would hold as much weight in court as the CDAN disclaimer.

He also only treated me with respect as a women and was relationship only. Where I think this blind item came from is someone who read his books so assumed he is violent? I don't think the source knows him. I have no idea why his books are violent, I think he likes to be controversial and artsy and that means pushing the boundaries. I'm serious please don't believe this story. I never comment on celebs I know on sites like this. But this story went to far. He's really sweet.

ReplyDeleteI don't buy it. Gang rapes and violent activity, especially over years as this implies, would result in some sort of rumor mill. In today's age of "Lindsey buys tampons" stories, a long time criminal like this would be whispered about and in the internet age, it would be everywhere. I mean, look at the Nick or Disney producer guy who is named as a pedophile. Why wouldn't a more well known person like JF be named everywhere?

Don't believe it. Besides, I dated a raging stoner. He could barely form a sentence. Getting it up was out of the question. And no emotional expression whatsoever. Except happy when he had good weed.
Based on the context of this blind I don't buy JF being leading gang rapes. You can be into rough or kinky consensual sex. This blind mentions he never dates women for more than a few weeks but he had two long term girl friends back to back. He dated a model long term and before that he dated an actress from The Practice/Full House and lived together.

@clearly4you, from what I've seen in the Francos videos posted on funnyordie they have a good relationship. JF also had her act opposite him when he was on General Hospital. I don't think she is an actress but he had her play his mom. He has a good relationship with his grandma as well.
The Scottish 17 year old had to cancel all of her social media accounts because of all the hate she was getting over an instagram conversation so imagine if someone actually accused him of something like rape.
ReplyDeleteAnd being in a relationship has little to do with whether someone is capable of deception or even violence. People cheat all the time but there are also wives who don't know their husbands are bigamists, teachers who secretly molest their students, spouses with serious gambling problems, etc. No one is together 24 hours a day, it's not hard to hide things, especially if your lifestyle involves a lot of travel or long work hours.
Marla Sokoloff wrote songs about JF after she broke up with him & they weren't happy tunes.
People seem sweet because on the surface they are, it's what they're trained to do. Acquaintances generally aren't going to be outwardly rude or disrespectful, especially if they've created a persona or have an image to maintain. I live in a Philly suburb & last year a Philly cop was arrested for raping 2 women & abusing his girlfriend. He had previously been honored by Obama for heroism.
Who knows whether this is true. JF did "research" when he made the movie Sonny & there were rumors about him being a 'gay rapist' so it's not like stories like this are new. It's a blind item on a gossip blog so you take it with a grain of salt, but you never know what's really going on unless you actually walk around in someone's shoes.
