This B list mostly movie actress knew her A list mostly movie actor boyfriend was having trouble staying sober. She is attracted to guys with sobriety issues. I don't know why, but she has been that way for a decade or longer. She also should have known that when she did her usual pills or drank in front of him, that it might be the wrong thing to do. She didn't seem to care though. Maybe karma is getting her back though because a trip to rehab would not be too bad for her at this time. She is looking rough.

She has Daddy issues, as she was emancipated as a teen and is still estranged from her dad Larry, who also has a shitload of legal problems and is shady as hell
She probably likes taking care of people, or thinking she can save/fix them, she's been doing it for a long time...

ReplyDeleteTranslation: Michelle is attracted to drug addicts, but uses herself. This is troublesome when dating Segel, a struggling recovering addict. Enty is blasting her for using in front of Jason, especially since she should know better from losing Heath. The whole karma thing also implies that she somehow fueled Heath's drug use and is now paying for it by looking like shit.

ReplyDeleteShe didn't get good reviews as Sally for Cabaret which just opened on Bwy. I don't know how much theatre training she's had, it's a whole different ballgame from film, which captures the smallest nuance which Micelle is darn good at.
Michelle has been doing theater since she was like 7 I think. That's the main way I knew her and her sister.

So because someone has an addiction, no one around them is supposed to drink, etc? I'm not sure if that's a reasonable expectation.

ReplyDeleteI remember thinking this at the time, there is rarely a hard user involved with someone squeaky clean even though this is always how the press plays it out...there is usually the one is out of control and the one who is less out of control who just wants the out of control one to get their control back so it can be how it used to be. So not surprised.

She's pretty now, but in the Dawson's Creek days, she was so boring and plain. I couldn't understand how she was cast. She was like Kimmy Gibler annoying.

ReplyDeleteI never got the fascination with Michelle Williams. Still don't. My mother always said "birds of a feather flock together" so it's no surprise her drug use/addiction is leaking into the press.

I think the karma has to do with her treatment of Heath after their separation. Rumors were not kind at all. The scuttlebutt about her demanding everything under the sun and using their daughter as leverage was so sad. Their relationship had supposedly gotten ugly right before he died. Then when he did, she was the grieving widow. Is said to have played hardball with the Ledger family to get all the $$ she could even though they were beneficiaries. Seems like they may have traded money for access to the kid and maybe she didn't keep up her end of the deal. Sad for the Ledgers and Matilda. Michelle can bugger off.
