Flavor Flav Pleads Guilty To Battery

Flavor Flav faced 12 years in jail for threatening the 17 year old son of Flav's now ex-girlfriend with a butcher knife. That sounds like one hell of a party. I'm guessing the kid must have messed around with one of Flav's clocks. Seriously, who just pulls out a butcher knife for an argument with a teenager? The felony assault charges that Flav faced were reduced in his plea to misdemeanor battery. Instead of the 12 years in jail he faced if he went to trial, now all Flav has to do is take four months of domestic violence counseling and got put on probation. The incident, which happened back in 2012 involved Flavor pushing his girlfriend to the floor and then chasing the teen with the butcher knife. This was about a week after his girlfriend overdosed while filming Couples Therapy.

  1. If this doesn't bring Derek out, nothing will

  2. Derek will come out when he's ready to come out, so don't try to make him come out before he's ready to come out.

    1. I thought Derek was out. And fabulous.

  3. The barest details explain the butcher knife, Enty. Sounds like the kid ran in to stop Flav beating his mother (good for the kid) and refreshingly, for many of the celeb stories we read, she dumped Flav's sorry ass (good for her). I think this is a hell of a lot more serious than probation, but considering how it goes in celeb cases, it's much better than nothing.

  4. Would it be too much of a stereotype to assume the nicely named Flavour is a rapper?

    2. You didn't need to assume, you could have used google. How rude.

  5. Agree with mari, this seems more serious than some counseling. How this guy gets women is beyond me.

  6. They've been on & off along time, through his Flavor of Love shows, she is finacially dependent on him, & they have a young child together. She keeps taking him back.

  7. I'm reading this as he's single so VH1 should make another "Flavor of Love." Just making a joke in a serious post--This seems like a pattern of behavior & counseling isn't enough punishment.

  8. VH1 won't be doing any more of those shows after the murderer.

  9. @anda marie - Why does one murderer have to ruin everyone's fun? I'd love another "Rock of Love" season.

    1. I hate to admit that I was so into those shows, but it was a downer that they stopped showing them all together. Maybe just pull that season and film more. At least with those shows I knew the people were no one famous. With those wives of whatever shows I get so confused because I never know who the husbands are!

    2. What!? Murderer!? Tell me more...

I'm days behind in my CDAN catch up, but this comment has really caught my attention! Something that obviously slipped under my radar. I also miss the tacky VH1 shows, especially Rock of Love. The girls on that show were bonkers!

  12. They were also on Celebrity Wife Swap - I'm assuming before Couples Therapy. That kid came off as a really nice guy on CWS. I can only imagine what reality is for him. :\

  13. So, she was pregnant while she was using on Couples Therapy. That explains a lot.
