Blind Items Revealed

October 28, 2013

This former A+ list tween celebrity was one of the very few tweeners back in the day. Now he is just a celebrity/singer living off that past fame. Apparently he is also willing to do anything to secure what he thinks would be the perfect job. It is the host of a network reality show and our former tweener trashes the current host every chance he gets and buys the producers of the show weekly gifts to try and land the not vacant job.

David Cassidy

  1. I don't think the term "tweener" existed in David Cassidy's day, but I'm not old enough to remember a hot David Cassidy, so there's that...

  2. Yay! An excuse to bust out:

Hey, I think I love you!
So what am I so afraid of?
A love there is no cure for!

  4. He has had enough plastic surgery to look like a chipmunk. I doubt he will get any job on tv. He should try radio like Bonaduce. Gosh, I sound so harsh. I really didn't mean it that badly. Going back to mostly lurking.

  6. Hello, Synchronicity. "I Think I Love You" came on my ipod shuffle while I was grocery shopping.

Umm... maybe I shouldn't have owned up to that.

    1. ^5 my first thought. I think Seacrest is leaving soon c to be straight executive. He's over the idol circus titanic.

He was the first to go, though.

  16. I'm just going to say it. I like David Cassidy. In fact, I loved him back in the day. Several years ago, I was working in a bookstore. He came to do a signing for his memoir. There must've been 300 people in line — literally. He sat there signing until every single person got their book signed. He was smiling, taking photos, chatting with people. He made sure to talk to everyone working at the bookstore that day, too. I was so happy to see that someone I had idolized back in the day was such a class act and a genuinely nice guy.

  18. @Wendy, UGH!! This makes me feel even worse for my comment. I am so sorry, David! lol

  19. Several years ago I was coming out of either Phantom or Les Mis on Broadway & Blood Brothers was playing at the theater next door. There was a crowd of people gathered on the street & of course I had to see who they were there for. It was David & Sean Cassidy. I was surprised by how they were both very small guys. I was taller than both of them. I guess when you see people on TV you imagine them to be really tall lol. But they were both very gracious to everyone & signed autographs & took pictures.

    ReplyDelete
  20. And I do have to say, they were both very good looking guys in person back then. And they seemed genuinely nice.

I agree with you Wendy, that was the exact impression I got of David Cassidy. Very genuinely nice & appreciative of his fans. He was probably one of the nicest celebrities I've met.

  21. Morning Ttm. Keep losing internet. Must be asign that she wants me to unplug.

Laurie Partridge was the subject of many youthful thoughts. Im sure a few sticky dreams were her doing. Davey may have been responsible for one or two. But the mother loadwas Laurie.

Now im going to have that partidge family album stuck I. Me head all day. Time for a vodka brain colonic. Xxoo Ttm!

  23. Derek, that dui could be your own. Funny thing about duis is that all the crime data (age, eth icity, income, education) become irrelevant.

In the court where I work weve had state supreme court justices. Elected officials at every level. Soccer moms after slurping vouvray. Wannabe thuggins. Soroity chicks. Persons of the cloth. Every one. Not one of them thoght theyd spend an evening in a red jumper in a holding cell scared shitless.

Taxis are cheap, y'all! (I'll drink to that!)

    1. Hi Guido,

If you get caught DUI in NJ/US, do you automatically get put into a holding cell - and into red clothing (assume that is prison uniform)??? Or is that if you've got a very high reading?

  24. David has turned into his father Jack Cassidy.

    Apple-tree fall not far

  25. Why didn't he teach his daughter to be gracious like that?

  26. Wasn't it a David Cassidy blind where I first met and fell into binary luv with @TTM? lol Yeah, I posted the entire Partridge Family theme song, I remember now.

    1. Actually, if memory serves, it was on a BIR about Jason Lewis and Rosario Dawson; you said you'd top for a date, but not bottom. The song came later

      or something like that :)

  27. Tina Mallette nailed it. Jack Cassidy was super jealous of David, from what I've read.

I just never hear anything positive about David.

Tragically, I was always way more into Danny Bonaduce.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I recently saw David and Shaun on some TV show.

David Cassidy wisely lives in South Florida, where his dollar stretches farther. There a $1 million dollar mansion would cost you easily $5+ million in So Cal.

Shaun has made bank writing and producing for TV.

  29. @paintchips, Actor Jack Cassidy was the father of David with his first wife and the father of Shaun, Patrick and Ryan with Shirley Jones. Jack died passed out in bed, in a hotel fire. Shaun was a Hardy Boy with Parker Stevenson and is a CANADIAN childrens' book author.

  30. eep, i found out more than I wanted.
Enty I found your next "Old Hollywood" blind!
What Hollywood/Broadway actor with a squeeky clean wife actress, had multiple same sex affairs to further his career?

  33. I like Danny Bonaduce and heard him say not that long ago that he feels kind of sorry for David Cassidy now that he has cleaned up his life and is watching David struggle.

Jack Cassidy is said to have had bipolar disorder, was bisexual and an alcoholic. I hope David gets some help.

  36. This story is just so pathetic. I don't want to imagine Keith Partridge becoming so ruthless!

  37. Counting myself lucky I cannot place the Partridge Family theme song - hate having poxy themes recur in my head all day. It really sends me 75% legally not responsible for my actions crazy.

You could have been in trouble there TTM - I'm talking full stalker, pitchforks, creepy items in the mail, etc. Just for future reference, do you have any pets I should know about?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Who would have thought Danny Bonaduce would end up the most stable of the two? He's on morning radio here in Seattle and even though he is an attention whore, at least he is a semi-self aware attention whore and I kinda like him.

I loved David Cassidy back in the day (1971 - 1972, then it was all Donny Osmond), and still have all The Partridge Family albums.

    ReplyDelete
  39. SaintsFan, don't be so hard on yourself. I very rarely have a kind word for celebrities. I think we have a niche here :)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Surprised to see more than a few folks who remember the Partridge Family when it was on.

Regarding CA, Dionne Warwick revealed herself to not only be bitter but stupid. She was aghast that Marlee Matlin wasn't familiar with her music.

I think the show in the blind might be DWTS.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @Wendy & RangersGirl - thanks for sharing that - good to know that he's a decent guy. I loved him back in the day - first concert I went to (follwed by The Who - talk about a 180!).

Funny story - when I moved out of my parent's house, I left a lot of my old albums. When they were selling their house, my father called and told me to come get them, or he'd throw them out. So, hidden away, I have my David Cassidy and Partridge Family albums (can't believe I just admitted this, haha).

  42. I remember when Wayne Newton was a hot young stud with a TV show. I swooned over him. Now I gag.

In my defense, his show may have been reruns.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I rather liked the Partridge Family as a teen. Cassidy was cute and I liked him 1000 times better than that 'tard Osmond, but I didn't crush on anyone in my teens.

Bonaduce is a hot mess, but amusing. I wish the three biggies on there (kids) all the best in life.

I still have the few albums of theirs and my phone ringtone for my husband is "I Think I Love You."

    And I'm not ashamed. *grin*

  44. I could quite happily spend an hour listening to 'I Think I Love You" and "Puppy Love" on continuos loop.
