This former A+ list mostly movie actress who is still A list and will always be an Academy Award winner/nominee would not give approval to photos that were taken for a photoshoot. She said that they made her face look like she had work done. Of course she just had work done, but didn't want it to look like it.

ReplyDeleteOkay for someone who is a veteran at getting work done how it is she has not figured out that you have allow time for the filler to settle or the surgery to heal and that you need to take that into consideration when planning such work in advance of public appearances and photo shoots? Or she needs to find a dermatologist with a much more subtle hand.

DeleteI'm sure that every magazine or fashion house that gives celebs photo approval before using them has celebs do the same thing all the time. Of course she wouldn't approve photos if they looked bad- that is why she had plastic surgery in the first place. At some point the celeb will probably have to get over the fact that any photo will now reflect their plastic surgery. Maybe she isn't there yet.

What's the point in that,,,,we can see her in the pap shots, how can she possibly think it makes any difference? Everyone knows she has had work done,,,you just need to look at her.
ReplyDeleteOh, honey. Aging gracefully with style and class is an artform that requires dignity. Having said that, you're doomed to go the way of the common rich plastic faces that line the streets of Hollywood.

Sophia Loren was at Cannes the other day. Yeah she was 79, she's thinner than she was, not quite as voluptuous as last time I saw her, and you can see every wrinkle on that face even with make up on but at least she seems to have aged gracefully.

ReplyDeleteSophia Loren,,,Gracefully yes, I'm not sure she did it 100 percent naturally though, not all along, I just think when you get to eighty, the sensible ones stop. However she never went through the frozen look today's do,, but I'd guess there was a face lift somewhere along the way. I think it must be hard to be very beautiful and lauded globally for that,,,and then for age to kick in. Nicole Kidman, although attractive, was never lauded as a beautiful woman,,,so whatever is driving her, I'm not sure, but I would put it down to insecurity, which may be harder to deal with,,....

ReplyDeleteI agree there Froggy she may have had a facelift or two in her middle years, maybe shored up those boobs which were always big, in fact I was trying to figure out if maybe she had reduction or just a function of being thinner perhaps being sick, stuff happens when you get to 79.

Did you see her face on the red carpet at Canes? She looked like the Cabbage Patch version of herself!

ReplyDeletePerhaps it was from this shoot. German Vogue August 2013. Nearly every photo is of her is shot from far away or with covered face. The uncovered closeup face shots are old recycled pics. At the time, I wondered why Vogue was using old shots of her. Make sense now. (at least 10 years old) VOGUE2013
Sophia Loren has looked great all along. She did it the old fashioned Hollywood way, small nips and tucks at regular intervals and she started fairly young. Those are the ones who "miraculously never age" in photos. Now it's showing but it didn't for decades.

Mrs. Dundee is unrecognizable but she looks better than she did when she was fat.
It's sad that such a good actress is wholly focused on her fading looks. I think "Dogville" was her peak, and she's been going downhill since then.
ReplyDeleteI watched both Dead Calm and Moulin Rouge recently. MR was her peak in my opinion with that glorious red hair. Such a shame. A doctor with a more subtle hand would have stopped this.

ReplyDeleteMy husband has made it quite clear to me that if he ever had a chance to be with Sophia Loren or Raquel Welch, he would go and be a nubile man for these still beautiful vibrant women. I would let him go. Dear Lord, can you imagine being that sensuous at their ages? Oozing sexuality is a gift from above, not every woman has it. There are often times far more beautiful women that have no sex appeal at all. None. Such a shame. Same goes for men too.
ReplyDeleteI remember seeing 'our Nic' on TV after her first (of many small increases) boob job. She wore a sweetheart neckline and you could see the bruising!! Check out her interview on Rove Live many moons ago!
