The theme was, I believe, was a tribute to 1920s designer Charles James. So Beyonce, Lupita, Charlize, and Dianna's gowns were in keeping with the flapper and striking striped look popular during that time.
I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I like Lupita's dress. It's... Not traditional, but it is fun and pretty. And if there IS a theme to this hot mess, then she kind of paid homage to it and isn't that they point?? Either way she reminds me of a sparkly fairy, and I love it.
Not to mention she's just so dang gorgeous she could wear a sheet and look classy, so she gets a big pass for me.

Gisele looks like maybe she waited till the last second for the dentist appointment. Ross Gellar called, he wants his peroxide back.
I like the pink and red combo that Emma has going on. I also really like yellow on Olivia. I think I've seen her wear yellow before, and it really stands out.
Charlize is getting hippy or is that just an optical illusion created by the dress.....If the former then I blame Sean Penn.
My first thought on Emma is the crop top looks like something you wear to the gym, if it was at least a v-neck might not give that vibe otherwise loves the colours not many gingers can carry that off

And much as it pains me to say it - Lupita is a fail from head to toe. Normally she kills the red carpet but this is hideous in every way.

I'm one of the very few who likes Lupita's 1920's flapper style outfit. I simply love the shoes too.
If someone described what Emma Stone is wearing to me I'd say "sounds fabulous". Seeing it is a different thing altogether.
Olivia Munn's yellow gown is better than Katie Holmes yellow gown. Then again anything would be better than that disaster.
