Blind Item #5

This B list mostly movie actress from an acting family is struggling to stay sober right now and needs to be at her best so she has been attending five or six AA meetings daily. Her family has offered to pay for a sober coach but she doesn't want them to draw attention to her so has refused.

    1. @Derek +1 although immediate after posting I realized she would probably not attend 1 AA meeting each day let alone 5.

    2. I think Derek is correct. She has been looking decent lately as opposed to her messy/oily look of the past few months.

  4. Well, if it is Emma, it is working! She is looking fabulous! I'm sure she will gain some weight back as soon as she is *settled in* to her current paradigm...

I am very happy she has made the decision to live life sober.

  5. I thought Emma was TV, not mostly movie?

  6. don't know who it is, but I wish her success!

  7. Seems to me that hitting up AA meetings that many times a day would be a bit of an attention drawer in and of itself.

    1. Dakota's about to open with 50 shades - that'll take her briefly to b,plus she needs to be at her best. And she was wandering aimlessly around yesterday (see photos).

  9. I wish her the best of luck too. Have to be honest, I didn't know you could do five or six meetings a day, not without travelling all over,,,

  10. Good gravy; poor girl's a hot mess! Hope she can get past this and eventually be more stable.

  11. I believe that if people aren't constantly tipping off the paps, they have more privacy than conventional wisdom would indicate. Not applicable to people who are followed day & night like the Joli-Pitts, Kimye, Prince Hot Ginge - people like that.

  12. I agree with Reno. I wouldn't describe her as mostly movie. Frankly she
Ade a bigger splash in American Horror on tv than anything shes done in movies.

Also, don't care. Sober coaches mean you lack the drive to work this thru for yourself.

Data on involuntary,court-ordered treatment is pretty abysmal rate of success. Must be present to win.

  13. This sounds like you are at AA almost all day

  14. Good luck to her whoever she is. She's obviously making one hell of an effort.

  15. there are AA meetings all over the place. and especially when someone is struggling to stay sober, attending several meetings a day is not unusual.

they're also not held in places with a sign out front saying "AA MEETING HERE" so this sounds like it's true to me.

i also say good for whoever this is on actually doing the work and not going the 'sober coach' route, which is lazy and doesn't work.

  16. I like the Emma Roberts guess.

  17. Enty must've meant per week. How could anyone find and attend five or six AA meetings every day? I've never been to one but I'd guess they run for a couple hours.

  18. My cousin's wife is struggling with her sobriety and has been attending 2 or 3 meetings a day. It's not unheard of, especially if you're in your first 6 months or so of sobriety.

/8 years sober on the 29th

  19. Awesome @StewMcG!

I have helped many friends off of pharmaceutical, hard, but it CAN be done :)

  20. I thought the same thing, @Charlie. We've seen at least two three blinds with leaked AA info. If secrecy is her issue, make the sober coach a guy and call him her new boyfriend. Or get a new personal assistant/umbrella holder.

  21. they run an hour. and trust me, there are LOTS of people who do several meetings a day---i met a woman who had 19 years of sobriety and she still went to 4 meetings a day. she took her knitting with her.

the groups are different----there are men's and women's groups and all together, there are smokers meetings, etc. the dynamics in every group is different.

i guess there are no AA people here because this really isn't unusual. i don't know if the 5 or 6 a day is slightly exaggerated, but why can't people just be happy she's trying to stay sober and stop nit picking about that?

  22. Nancer and Stew are on the money. It's totally normal to spend most of your waking hours in a meeting or with other AAs when you are new to sobriety. And HEY HOLLYWOOD, AA has "sober coaches" they're called sponsors, and they're free, and they actually work (when you work it).
Good for whoever this is. And to whoever keeps ratting them out you need to have a chat with your own sponsor about the meaning of anonymity

  23. I think Emma is on vacation right now though - Dakota is a good guess, too as it seems like she's staying put in New York City and therefore would be attending meetings in the same place.

  24. I meant Dakota Johnson.

  25. Ahh, I stand thoroughly corrected! :)
