Blind Item #6

This is strange even for this married A+list singer/diva. She went into a rage and screamed and yelled for an hour because she apparently put too much perfume on and couldn't decide whether to take another bath or change clothes or just leave it the way it was. This woman seriously needs some help.

    1. Mariah does love her baths LOL, and this implies that she had just taken a bath

    2. LOL! No bath or perfume could get rid of the stench of sticky icky that follows in RiRi's wake!

I remember back in the day I used to get all paranoid when people would say that I smelled good. I couldn't tell if they were referring to my signature scent (Mugler's "Alien") or the OG

  5. 1000% Mimi. Ugh. It's really a shame when people start to believe their own self-created hype. The 90s and your once incredible talent have been over for quite a while girl...Sad.

    1. You're onto something Derek. Maybe she had to sample her own perfume line and just COULD NOT bear the stank. Case closed!!!

  8. I've never gotten Mimi's appeal. In fact, her popularity was something I missed entirely. I could name a few Britany Spears songs but not MC.

    1. @ Dexamyl... I totally agree. And from a vocal ability standpoint, mariah is an incredible singer. Her range is out of this world but I've never really dug her music. I almost feel like she isnt picking the right songs to accentuate her talent. Stylistically shes never found her niche. Ive always felt this way about beyonce too. Britney and rihanna have found their niche and even though their voices are shit next to mariah, stylistically they are miles ahead of bey and mariah imo.

  9. And if you believe all the blinds you read, Mariah uses a brand new towel every time and disposes of it rather than have it washed. She has a staffer who's responsible for ordering towels.

  10. @Dexamyl, you can remember Britany Spears ok singing but not Mimi, one of the powerhouses in singing voices? Really?

  11. @Eros-I think if Mariah and Christina classed up their acts and chose good songs for their voices, they would reach a brand new audience. Mariah would do great with a Vegas type show, not as cheesy as Celine Dion, but with nice gowns and flattering arrangements.

  12. When I was a kid every little girl wanted to be Mariah, but that was still when she was with Matola, & before she went over the deep end and got desperate & starting screwing for songs & producers.

  13. Mariah can really sing, unlike most pop stars. She could've gone into Opera or Broadway & been successful.

  14. @Eros, I've always thought the same thing. Mariah's vocal range is incredible, she could do opera without blinking. I heard her once holding a note that was incredible.

I have a "quietish" voice and the few times I ever shout or speak loudly, I get a sore throat. I can't imagine a singer of Mimi's caliber shouting for a full hour.

  15. Thank you for that last line, Enty. I get so sick of this kind of obviously unhinged behaviour being passed off merely as "diva" behaviour. No…this isn't being a diva, this is being a crazy person.

And my vote is for Mariah.

  20. I think this is what is known as a 'pick an eastcoast city' shower. Using heavy cologne/perfume to mask the sticky/sweaty/stinky smell in hot/humid conditions. I first heard it referred to as a Boston shower but probably from someone from NYC.

    1. texas rose - I believe the original was 'French Shower,' as a British pejorative from the just pre-Renaissance times.

But probably only because everyone else was still quite happy with the stench; at least the French aristocrats were *trying* to smell a little nicer.

And the big pins in big hair - designed to scratch lice itchies, without damaging your wig 'do. With all the weaves going on, it's just one bad lousey summer for those pins to make a BIG comeback. We should invest.

  24. You can't expect Mimi to worry about these details, she has so much to worry about. Her ensembles, walking, how to get down the stairs after getting sewn into her dress.

  25. Kathryn Heigel for the win.
