It might be a top rated show for CBS, but these two co-stars can't stand each other. Apparently the female and male lead don't get along at all because the female lead thinks she is a much bigger star than she really is and acts like it every second on set with her demands. A couple of hit movies a decade ago don't make you a huge star.

I caught that show last night and the week or so before. She's quite "meh" in my opinion. Neither her or the show kept my attention.

DeleteMy first comment was deleted but this is worth a retry. I happen to know this blind is completely wrong from first hand information. Lucy is quite nice on set and JLM is an ass. Also in the few times I've had inside info on things posted on this site it has been wrong. Do what you will with that info but it's true.

ReplyDeleteOr the truth lies in between - both co-stars have their moments of behaving like entitled brats and behaving decently and sometimes they both may be brats on the same day or they both might be nice on the same day.
ReplyDeleteI would not be surprised if you had two crew members on a TV show who had the precise opposite opinion.
ReplyDeleteCould one crew member hate one co-star to the point of irrationality or could that one crew member be so crushing on the co-star they don't see the bad behaviour or rationalize it away.
We all know of instances when one perception does not speak for the whole picture but in gossip that is what we do, we perpetuate one perception at one particular time and assume this tell us the whole story.

DeleteThank you, Msgirl. I’m not famous or in the “industry” (nor would I want to be), but I just happen to know some people who are. It doesn’t come up often, but once every few years there’s a post on something I know about and it really bothers me that it always seems to be wrong. After all, I’ve been reading this site for ages and have been a fan.
Also, Tina, I appreciate your comment and agree with what you are saying. Yes, everyone has bad days and their point of view, but to be clear what I stated is not based on a single instance or day or even person. I just don’t like to see a person dragged through the gutter when they don’t deserve it. Maybe Lucy’s a horrible person in her personal life – maybe she drowns cute puppies, I don’t know. But on set she’s pretty cool, so let’s not lie about it, Enty. And let’s especially not make JLM sound like he’s some poor, innocent victim which he most definitely is not (At least on set. Maybe he rescues cute puppies in his personal life. I don’t know).

I tried watching their show but Liu's accent annoyed me so badly with it's constant NYC vocal fry that I quit. Too bad. Lucy wears fashion better than your average bubble head and she's consistently working on her paintings. She needs to hire a voice coach.

ReplyDeleteBut if it's true ... just think which one of these two actors is irreplaceable in this series. I think a different Watson might be an improvement, but JLM *owns* the role of Holmes.
Although ... I like the Cumberbatch version best of all.
