This A list female director recently bought a house in Colorado just so she could spend her free time smoking pot legally. She says that as much as she loves smoking, she was always worried she would get busted in California and never enjoyed it like she does now.

Penny lives in rarified air in Colorado, i bet. That better more relaxed is the thinner oxygen. She doesnt stay long enough to adjust before she's back in Csli.

Ok. I'm officially giving up on understanding Enty's ranking system. Penny Marshall, A-list director? On what planet? According to imdb, she hasn't done any significant or frequent work in many years. Nor has she won - or even been nominated for - any kind of Oscar, which I understand could keep someone permanently at A-list, or close it. (I'm not sure that I believe that concept either. For example, are Adrien Brody, Renee Zellweger, Jim Broadbent & Frances McDormand on Permanent A-list? I really don't think so.)
ReplyDeleteShe's a preeminent groundbreaking female director. I'm comfortable with permanent A list for Penny. Seeing as how there are probably about 5-6 top female directors in Hollywood, and Penny has the greatest longevity and name recognition, she's A.
