So, those people who go on juice diets really don't eat anything? That sounds horrific.

  1. Yep you're only supposed to drink juice. If you put it in a blender with ice it's actually quite filling. Another good filler is to add a bit of fruit when you blend it.

Don't knock it till you try it.

I do the 5:2 diet, except eat normally for 2 days a week instead of 5.

Have lost over 20kg in 3 months from juicing on the 5 days and am never hungry.

    1. Damn you Europeans and your hellish systems of measure! It's 44lbs. People. That's a shit ton. I tried this doing 2 days of fast 5 days regular...lost nothing. I see I may have been doing it backwards.

  4. Yeah. This trend in weight-loss/healthiness is horrifying to moi. And I feel like juicer people are totally in a cult because they're always trying to get you to do this crazy. No thanks, I'll eat my sandwich and enjoy it.

  5. Eat less move more. That's the only real dietary advice people need.

    1. Damn straight. I lost 60 pounds by doing it sensibly and it stayed off until the junk food and no time for exercise moved back in.

  6. I did it and truthfully the first days were HORRID but after a while you get use to it. But a word of caution some people have been known to blow up once they stop because they start to eat everything in sight. Thus the reason I don't think it is for everyone.

  8. No way would I ever.
Oh, derek, I need to watch last nights. I have it on my dvr. It was good huh?

  9. I lasted five days in that foodless hell. If you don't juice the right combo you get something we call 'brown town' and it tastes how is imagine Ke$ha smells.

If they ever figure out a way to juice mozzarella sticks or a TGIFridays sampler platter, is give it another shit ( typo stays)

    1. I find, if you add enough Ranch Dressing, you can totally make broccoli salad liquid.

    2. Wasn't there a 7-11 empanada breakdown at the end, Wigs?

    3. It was two Jamaican beef patties, but yes, there was a gas station breakdown involved.

  10. I feel for the family that is recieving Jill as the "wife". The woman is insufferable. Hopefully she mentions "Romonar" at least once.

I heard you go number two a lot while on those diets, and it's the same consistency as the juice. No thank you.

Yeah, it's true, and you need to stay within close proximity of a lavatory at all times as the feeling that you need to go comes on quickly

  12. The presence of juice just creates plausible deniability for Anorexia.

That Dr. Roni charlatan of the Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox got her doctorate from an online diploma mill, which folded the minute they started being investigated.

  16. Ill have liquid diet when I break my fucking jaw. Then Ill buy a blender and cook my meat and veggies and blender it so I can drink that rancid crap.

  17. Have any of you heard about juice plus? It is a way to get fruits and vegetables without having to juice. It is cheaper less sugar and easier!!

  18. I do a daily green juice or smoothie post run. That said, I'll never give up carbs- gluten free and liquid diets are blasphemy

  21. Can I add vodka to it?

  22. I'm excited, derek! Mostly because I just cannot stand Jill. I found Jenna's blog through Mayim's recently and although it's 90% mommy stuff (which I don't need or care about), she had some interesting recipes.

Anyway, last night was pretty interesting! I'll not spoil it for Renoblondee, but...yeah. Pretty good. Even if they weren't even wives, heheheh.

  25. I survived a 10 day cleanse three times without ever cheating. Basically lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne paper. Just the thought of that again makes me sick. Just watch the Modern Famy episide where Cam and Mitch do it, it's practically a documentary on the ensuing mental deterioration

  27. A couple of months ago, I went on a juice diet consiting just of vodka, whisky and sodas. I lasted 3 days. I will probably repeat.

  28. Enty, are you still 350lbs? Maybe juicing would be a good idea,

  29. it seems to me the quickest way to "detox" is just to stop putting toxic things in your body......

  30. I knew a woman who went on a carrot juice only diet. She turned orange.

  31. @califblondy - Good Lord, yes! What was going on there?! I know the guy's in his sixties, but it seems like he just got so OLD looking REALLY quickly, bless his heart.

Barry was kind of funny, taking himself and His Act! all seriously, heheheh. His son seemed like a sweet kid. Branson's not far from me, so maybe I'll go catch his act sometime. (Most of us around here who are under 70 make fun of Branson, but I still think the kitsch factor would be pretty cool.)

  32. I did a juice fast for 5 days just for fun at 15. Wasn't too hard. Couldn't ever see myself doing that these days! I have done 2-4 days alcohol diets without solid food, though... I just forget to eat if there's a weekend trip with 24h party. And that's just alcohol, no drugs!

  33. It damages the kidneys. Not a smart idea at all.

  34. i did it for 3 days to detox, no solids, felt fine. but yeah i wouldn't go any further than that :/

  35. I did the Master Cleanse for 21 days a couple years ago and lost 15 pounds. BOO-YAAA!!!!

I was unemployed, fat (for me) and felt the need to accomplish something at the time. It helped being at home when you have to pee every 20 minutes.

  36. It makes more sense to me to just eat the damned carrot.

  37. Why is it so hard for people to just burn more calories than they consume? Its simple math.
