ReplyDeleteI read about all 58 Crumbs stores closing this morning over on Buzzfeed. Sad. I have such great memories of eating there on my first solo trip to NYC to visit my best friend who had moved to the city. My red velvet cupcake was pretty terrible & flavorless as was her Chocolate Crumb but the Snickers one was an enormous softball sized, over frosted delight!
ReplyDeleteDiane Kruger's dress is spectacular! I had to get a closer look on the DM site, and there's no U-turn signs, stop signs and pedestrian walking signs. On-theme as well, since her show is called "The Bridge".

ReplyDeleteWas Crumbs publicly traded? Seems like a pump and dump or they just kept taking loans out for expansion until they maxed out and pocketed the cash on hand.
ReplyDelete@Count, Yup, they're public. As of July 3, they got delisted from Nasdaq. Then as of the 7th, Crumbs announced they're discontinuing operations.

ReplyDeleteDiane Kruger attended the premiere of her show alone because Joshua Jackson was back filming his show in New York. They just returned from spending the weekend together in Paris.
ReplyDeleteI'm falling on the side of not believing their break-up rumors anymore, they just voluntarily spend too much personal time together to be broken up.
@NaughtyNurse - Barbara Eden was one of the guesses for the blind, but seriously, the woman is turning 83 in few weeks. I am unaware of any photos of her dressed up in her Jeannie costume.
ReplyDeleteShe's a lovely, lovely woman and has dedicated many years to fighting drug addiction after her son Matthew died of a heroin overdose.
I hung out with Matthew for an evening when I was 15 and he was 13 when his Mom was performing in my city. Even backstage, she was an attentive mother to him. She's an awesome lady and I highly doubt she's acting like some loser running around in harem pants etc. in her 8th decade.

I like fairy cakes. Petite but delicious. Cup cakes always taste really synthetic and overly sweet.
