This C+ list mostly movie actress who used to be A list and still has A++ list name recognition skipped a charity event because the organizers wouldn't pay her. They were willing to fly her in for the event and pay for her hotel, but the actress wanted them to pay for an entourage of five, a private jet, hotel for three nights and pay her $50K. Everyone who did attend, did so for free and most didn't even ask for their flights to be paid.

ReplyDeleteShe's delusional, but probably with cause. Think of all the 'celebrities' who are paid ridiculous fees to show up at parties or bars, just to get paps. Probably half these charity events never raise a dime for the charity and don't raise awareness..Does seeing someone pose make anyone want to give?

Yes, it is Margaret Beaufort.
These "Charities" actually give so little of the money they raise to the places they are meant to go to (research, building homes,buying food, etc.) and put so much of it into the pockets of the people in charge and putting on these gala events should pay these celebs what they want for them to attend. All they'd have to do is take a small, very small portion of the take the people in charge's salaries and it;s taken care of.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take Lindsay under my wing, be her hero, change her life and get her back on track. Then the two of us could spend the rest of our lives together and use the money we could make together (legally, without needing to "escort" rich foreign men) to really help the people these "charities" are meant for.
