This is not long, but it is jaw dropping so thought I would put it here. According to this foreign born B-/C+ list mostly movie actress she had a conversation with this A+list mostly movie actor and he told her that he and this organization have parted ways.

ReplyDeleteYup. And this could TOTALLY explain why Katie is suddenly feeling safe/comfortable enough to move back out to LA completely out of the blue. There is quite literally no other explanation that I can/have been able to come up with for it. It's too quick & random after all she went through to build a free, independent life away from the West Coast.
DeleteBefore I read this blind, I was actually very worried for her own mental health and stability regarding that decision...
All that said, someone at Tom's level in the CO$ will never truly be fully out. His mother, live-in sister, other sister and closest "friends" are all full fledged members. And that's not even considering how much sh*t they have on him thanks to decades if regular "audits." There's just no way. Scary stuff.

ReplyDeleteI recently found out an acquaintance has been sucked in by CO$. She has given them so far in the 6 figure range. Most of it has been the cost of their "help" with expanding her business thru classes and advice on how to grow her business. However, she also spends several days a month in Clearwater at their center, so her business is neglected during that time. The money she has given them is not money she had, but borrowed to help "expand her business".
Some have tried to get thru to her, but have been met with resistance and/or threats of disconnecting.
I also think Cruise and this would definitely be a shocker! Hope it's true.

ReplyDelete@All Lace no Leather, Travolta's marriage may be one of convenience--for both of them--but I think he and Kelly Preston truly care about each other. I don't think it's so much a "sham" as a marriage between good friends.
ReplyDeleteI doubt this blind is either Travolta or Cruise, but of the two I think Cruise has a better chance of being able to leave the cult. The "church" has enough dirt on both of them to keep them from leaving, but Cruise is so close to Miscavige that he would know where his skeletons are buried, too. Cruise would have leverage, Travolta would not.

ReplyDeleteIf facts matter it is Travolta. Per IMDB, Tom Cruise has 40 credits, ALL of them movies. Travolta has 68 credits but that includes Welcome Back Kotter, some subsequent TV appearances and TV movies (earlier in career). In terms of appearing as themselves, Cruise and Travolta have similar totals, over 200 each, but Travolta, singing and dancing, has more "performance" appearances on TV versus the talking only Cruise.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe Tom Cruise would leave the church. Why would he? He believes they helped him become a demi-god (Thetan Level 7). The man is a control freak and they've given him the means by which to control everyone close to him.
ReplyDeleteIt's perfectly possible that he's decided to listen to his Hollywood advisers and publicly distance himself from Miscavige to protect his film projects.
I've always doubted that her concerns over Scientology prompted Katie's leaving. I do think that she wanted more control over her own life and career and primary decision-making about Suri's education and residence. Katie's team handled the shock separation brilliantly. They used the public's suspicion of Scientology to get support firmly on her side.

ReplyDeleteWill Smith never claimed to be in Scientology, so he can't be out. Yes, he is a Scientologist, but he has always been on the DL, spouting off the learned-by-wrote line that he "studies aspects of all religions".

John Travolta has been practicing his own variety of Scientology for decades. He has never been cozy with Miss Cabbage and management. He has his own team of Scientologists that only serve him and Kelly&fam. Travolta could get away with saying he was out of the organization while still being a Scientologist. It's how he has been playing it for years.
Tom might see the wisdom of getting out now (should have done it years ago) but he was papped recently at the London Sci Center. His whole extended family are firm believers, many working for the organization. Christ, his mother divorced her husband of 30 years because he wouldn't convert.
So, unless Tom is part of a huge Scientology shake up (where they throw Tiny Miss Cabbage under the bus) I don't see him leaving any time soon. He is way too entrenched. He's a stupid man and they make him feel like a super hero.
Still, I think this is Tom to Emily Blunt. Emily is funny and she was probably teasing him. She acts like she is very fond of Tom in interviews. I think one reason they hit it off is Tom brushed off the Scientology question by claiming to be secretly out. Emily would have given him hell otherwise with general sweet mocking.
If Cruise is leaving $ then he plans on coming out..because they sure as shit will out him for revenge.
