Off Topic

Some friends spent a month putting together a 20,000 piece puzzle. It is huge. It is also missing seven pieces. So, they bought another copy of the puzzle and have spent a week trying to find the missing seven pieces in the other set.

  3. Can't they just cut out the shapes on a piece of construction paper and color it it?

  4. My parents had one of those years ago which they set up on a ping pong table. There were several pieces that were just cut wrong or damaged, so the picture was wonky in one spot. They were pissed.

  7. @ Dishy I don't think they're tweaking. Puzzles are like fishing. If you told someone you were going down to the river to sit there and drink a 6 pack, they would view you differently than if you said you were going fishing (taking your 6 pack with you). Sitting around drinking with friends seems to have more meaning if you say you are putting together a puzzle, and drinking is the side event.

  8. Oh and I think one of the friends is enjoying it too much, so stole/hid the missing 7 pieces to prolong their time together.

  9. If there was a manufacturing defect that omitted seven pieces in the first box it may be repeated in all the other boxes of that puzzle.

  10. You know what? Things and people's behavior have been so abyssmal lately, good for them for finding something non toxic to occupy themselves.

  14. I did an 18,000 piece puzzle and they had a note in the box that if you were missing pieces when you were done you could send them a photo and they'd send you those pieces.
