Blind Item #9

This married former A list mostly television actor was part of one of the biggest shows in television history. He says he owes all his success to his acting coach/C-list actor so the actor sets him up with actresses he meets on sets who have money for classes and are also willing to have sex with the coach.

  3. Creep, I mean?!! Sexing people in positions with lesser power than you? I can't get off on that.

  4. Did Seinfeld even have an acting coach? He always said that he never knew what he was doing when he did scenes and was just playing himself.

  5. My guess is David Schwimmer.

  6. I like LooLoo's guess

  9. Schwimmer's on the Board of the Rape Foundation for the Rape Treatment Center of Santa Monica.
That doesn't negate the guess, just makes it shittier if accurate.

  10. Dont think its Danson because he was a regular on soap operas for years before Cheers. That doesn't mean another soap actor cant be the guy who coached him though.

  11. @ Tricia, that's the hard part! He's been a successful and established actor for so long, we'd have to go *way* back. Nicholas Colasanto would fit perfectly (hence the "coach" reference rather than "instructor" or "teacher") but of course, he passed away long ago. :(

    Hmm.

  12. Dan Fauci founded The Actor's Institute in NYC. I'd think he was D-.
    He's skeevy, that's for sure.

  13. If Seinfeld ever took acting lessons he hides it extremely well. His "acting" was awful and he could never manage to deliver his lines without smirking.

That said, I love him and the show!!

  14. Final answer: Ted Danson (Cheers)/Dan Fauci(Actor's Institute/Actor/Producer)

  15. Fauci-Danson very briefly had their own production company, Dan Fauci-Ted Danson Productions.
    Fauci is still coaches:

  18. I've met Ted before and there is no way this is him.

    I like LooLoos guess.

  19. Thanks, Tricia (we shall see, I guess)
I know the horse is dead, but once I stumble across a smarm monster, I'm like a terrier w/a bone.

  21. Ted is not the skeevster, Beetlejuice. Ted refers female actresses to this smarmy coach, in my version of reality.
There's a million results when you google Ted Danson Dan Fauci.
Fauci moved to LA when Danson did, so it's more than a simple acquaintance, I think.
    From "Toasting Cheers" (book):
"Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Ted befriended Dan Fauci. They studied at the Institute in New York and in 1986, became partners in a production company. After relocating to California, Danson & Fauci co-founded an est-inspired The Actors Institute in Los Angeles. For two years, Ted Danson doubled as manager & acting teacher"

  22. Alan Alda and he pimps for Norman Lear.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That might be gross. Norman Lear is ninety-two. I thought of Alan Alda because the country stopped for 30 minutes for M.A.S.H.'s final episode. That's rilly BIG.

  24. Not David S. I went to college with him. His acting teacher is gay and an AWESOME man. David S is very loyal to the theater people in his life. Good guy. Too bad he isn't loyal to old buildings in NY.

  25. Cool, a kindness BI to start the weekend.

  26. So he's a pimp??!! I dont see danson or jerry for this.

  27. David Hasselhoff referring the girls to Beyoncé

  28. Tony Danza/Judd Hirsch (Taxi)

  29. Lol at @Eros. :-)
"that dude" is none other than the irrepressible Ed O'Neill, and he's still A-List because he's on Modern Family now.
Going with Ted Danson on this one--he did play Sam the Tomcat after all.

  30. I was just watching Cheers last night, and it was the episode where Danson's character hooks up with an agent lady, only she won't get him commercial gigs unless he sleeps with her continuously, and he starts to feel really sad. Ironic.

  31. Doesn't sound like Fauci was his coach, more a peer. I know someone who works on CSI and says Ted is one of the good ones. If this blind is about Ted, it's BS.

  32. seinfeld isn't an actor. he says so himself. don't think it's him.

and he has to be permanent A---not former.

  33. Smalls like Schwimmer to me, too.
