ReplyDeleteMy Papa did the lighting for Fraggle Rock and knew him well. RIP.
ReplyDeleteRIP. 90! And what a lovely legacy to leave behind.
ReplyDeleteI loved Fraggle Rock when I was a wee 7. I can even still sing the song! Dance your cares away, worry's for another day, let the music play, down in Fraggle Rock!
I loved Fraggle Rock. RIP
ReplyDeleteAwe. RIP.
ReplyDeleteI'll adopt Speocket if needed.
Omg I loved him! 90 is good! I hope he had a wonderful life :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVED Fraggle Rock. I can also still sing the theme for it.
ReplyDeleteRIP Bro. (SFW)
ReplyDelete90 is a good run…RIP
ReplyDeletederek, what a cool fact. Any other Muppet-y stories?
ReplyDeleteRIP, sir. Loved those little Fraggles! I'm a Mokey with Wembley tendencies, myself.
@AKM---he also worked for another childrens Canadian show called Mr. Dress-up. Mr. Dress-up was a drunk! He worked with Jim Henson directly and said he was a lovely man. My grandparents had Ann Murray over for dinner often (before I was born).
ReplyDeleteI also don't think I ever mentioned I was friends with one of Robert Munches daughters---but haven't seen her in years.
Awesome Derek.
DeleteRIP.
ReplyDeleteI loved that show. We never missed it when my kids were little.
ReplyDeleteFraggle Rock is one those shows that was so awesome then and if you watch it now, it still is that good.
ReplyDeleteDerek - that's neat! : )
Fun stuff, derek! I love Anne Murray! Grew up listening to her a lot in Tennessee, and "Snowbird" was my grandpa's favorite song (and one of my karaoke go-tos). I wish she weren't retired, but she's very happy golfing and doing LOTS of charity work, so good on her. :-)
ReplyDeleteRobert Munsch? LOVE YOU FOREVER?! That's interesting, too. :-)
