There was a big event held this week honoring an actor for his acting achievements. Many of his co-stars past and present attended. Some did not. Some very notable stars skipped it. The reasons?
#1- This Academy Award winner/nominee skipped the event because of some events I wrote about several years ago in a blind which changed her life forever and led to who she is now and is especially relevant this week. Sexual assault and abuse and just being treated like meat.
#2 - This Academy Award winner/nominee skipped the event because he told several people a few years ago that our actress prefers women and she told him in confidence.
#3 - This A- list mostly movie actress with A+ list name recognition skipped the event because the entire time they filmed a movie together he would not stop pawing at her and groping her and calling her all kinds of names. Plus, he hooked up with their co-star which she found offensive.

ReplyDeleteI don't understand this. The subject of the blind is male but is this a different male in #2 who skipped it because he blabbed about 'our actress' preferring women?
The winner/nominee is a woman, the "he" - who told people the winner a lesbian - was the honouree.

ReplyDeleteMM has made some way to making up for his schlock period of horrible romcoms but he still has a way to go to match DeNiro and at least DeNiro waited until he had a catalogue of good movies under his belt before getting on the shlock train though I do love him in the Focker movies.
@Sugar, I had to read it a couple of times too. The Academy Award winner/nominee is the actress and the actor getting the honor told some people that the nominee preferred women.

1 does sound like Renee, and I think she actually looks good. I think makeup/lighting had some to do with it but she looked waaay more relaxed than she ever has on the red carpet. They need to step off my Gina and have some more Rex Manning day in their lives.
ReplyDeleteMatthew m rubs me the wrong way. I couldn't watch True Detective because of him and I really wanted to because everyone was talking about it. Dallas Buyers Club is the only movie of his that I love. Otherwise he's skeevy.
ReplyDeleteIf it's McConaughey, Kate Hudson showed up and was considered to be surprisingly the funniest one. She told a story about camping out in bear country in Canada, MM disappeared and she was dispatched to find him and found him wandering around naked in the woods (stoned presumably), Sandra Bullock videotaped an apparently very funny bit, a poem she had written about him liking her small boobs, Jen Garner was there too.

2. Jodie Foster? They were in Contact together. Though if he had told anybody she was a lesbian, they wouldn't have been shocked. I've always wondered if he's the sperm donor. Both her kids are redheads and it looks like everybody in MM's family but him is a redhead. And it's the type of thing he'd do.
3. Don't know about this one. Ashley Judd doesn't have A+ list name recognition + Enty had a reveal about how Ashley's the only ex of MM's that he hates.

I guessed MM himself, because that's how I read the blind...but if I were to put the female now, I'd choose her for 2 reasons: she was still in the closet at the time they were colleagues/working together2) I believe him to be bisexual(see my answer for #3, and perhaps he confided in her, and then she in turn to him. Sandy and he were lovers at some point..this sounds more of a I told you this is friendship..plus, she wasn't there at all ..no message or video, right?

I just read the producer of Interstellar Lynda Obst was the organizer of the event and she also produced Contact and Jodie doesn't have a lot to do these days, it's not like she couldn't show up. All the presenters were MM's leading ladies. But I don't buy the 'he told people she was a lesbian' bit, hell everybody knew!

ReplyDeleteThere were some photos in the DM a few months back of Jodie's older son. He was always very unattractive when he was younger, people thought James Woods had been the donor because he looked a little like him. But in the recent photo, the kid's improved a lot. He's tall, has a long face, very prominent cheekbones , and large down-turning eyes. Totally like MM. The red hair throw off the resemblance but MM's brother the appropriately named Rooster was at the event last night and he's a redhead.

She won't allow any "help" inside her house and makes lists of work assignments for everyone who lives there (which may be one reason she didn't kick Cydney out of the house, she keeps things clean.) Jody does have a master race thing going on, which she shares with Mel, which elides with her Ayn Rand politics. The kids do look a lot like James Woods, who calls himself a genius but the evidence is slim on the ground - he sure acts like an idiot with hyper tendencies. Okay, maybe he's a genius compared to the rest of Hollywood, which is a shallow pool.
