What A++ actor/singer and Oscar winner/nominee had the image of the all-American family man, but he had a little secret that he kept from the public. He grew weed in his backyard and was pretty good at rolling a joint.
True 4 marriages and a torrid affair with MM ain't gonna get him father of the year. Lol Just loved him so:( bing too for that matter, until those awful accusations came out from his kids in a book. Hope they are not true:(
Bing started smoking pot with Jazz bands on the road, he loved it & didn't hide it.
Bing had 4 sons with his first marriage. All have been in & out of rehab & mental institutions. All have tried to commit suicide, 3 did kill themselves. One son wrote a book about him, that makes Mommy Dearest look nice.
ITA Bing for sure was NOT a stellar family man, Sandy. He was quite a horrible person. But his PR machine was stellar that's for sure. He was one of the biggest hypocrites ever.
Most of what I've heard about old stars hasn't really shocked me, however, Bing being such an abusive asshole, that 3 of his 4 sons killed themselves did shock me.
Actually 2 sons committed suicide..other two died of natural causes..son Phillip said the book was bull, and the 2 who later killed themselves didn't agree with all the allegations either..so who knows.
good guess but Andy Griffith was never nominated for an Oscar. I think Bing Crosby w/all his Family Xmas Specials every year w/his 'perfect' 2ND Family !!
