Four For Friday- Screwing Over Her Former Co-Stars One Day At A Time

It is already the last Friday in March. Baseball season is just around the corner and beyond that I think I saw a store near me getting ready to put their Christmas decorations up. Can never get too early of a start. In case you are curious I have managed to spend another year at the bottom of my NCAA bracket pool. To celebrate I will be drinking all weekend and blogging. I hope you find the time to stop by. If you would like to follow me on Twitter and watch me go on 140 word rants I am @entylawyer

Considering how long this show has been off the air it's remarkable how much money this very large cast makes. They do well. Not spectacular, but considering almost all of them have done nothing since the show ended decades ago, that is pretty good. As time goes by, and opportunities start to slip, the cast likes to jump on all money making opportunities. That is fine if it is a solo thing, but more often than not, the person offering a job wants more than one of the cast. One of those is generally the star of this blind. She arguably had the most popular character on the show, but is in the top three as far as status since the show. That character though is what organizers want, so they give her a call. She loves the call and her only condition ever is that she be the only member of the cast to be there or they won't get her. Recently she could have given a cast member a chance at a $250K payday. She told the producers that was a no go. She wanted to be the focus and they agreed. As recent as that was, there was something that happened in the past week where she managed to screw over the entire cast in one day. A big payday was in the offing. All the cast had to sign a contract and money would be flowing into their pockets. Our star though decided she wanted a better deal and is holding up the process until she gets triple what any other cast member receives. If she does not get her triple pay, then she won't sign and no one will get paid. She loves doing that to her co-stars. She loves when they beg with her and plead with her and kiss her butt and buy her presents just to make sure she always signs. This time though, the remaining members of the cast are fighting back. It is a potentially big payday. Enough money to see them through several years and there will be a war if our star does not sign. They will throw every bit of dirt at her they can. The star doesn't seem worried. As of a day or two ago, she was still holding out for triple. Always screwing them. One day at a time.

Doubt it's SMG because Hannigan, Boreanas and Green from Buffy have done a ton.

Probably not Doherty for 90210. Tori has been doing things.

  13. Don't think it's Valerie Bertinelli. One Day at a Time didn't have a very large cast, and several of the main cast members have passed away.

  15. Certainly could be, but the clue seems too obvious which makes me think it's a red herring.

Backing McCormick. Seems like they'd be a likely candidate for an Old Navy commercial.

Anyway, I was saying nice call @mysterylady & @Jess-- but to what does the "one day at a time" comment refer? is Maureen McCormick in recovery?

I vote Maureen McCormick. The "one day at a time" bit could be alluding to the fact that she's a recovering addict/alcoholic/bulimic.

Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch). Susan Olsen posted on FB that Maureen refuses to sign off to use a Brady kids song in a large commercial.

Florence Henderson. I like the Maureen McCormick guess, but I'm trying to figure out where the money is coming from. The Brady kids had no ownership stake in the show, no residuals, etc. In the recent Snickers commercial, the owners of the rights to the show would have been paid, and Florence for the new, original dialogue. There could have been an opportunity for another cast member in the commercial, but there was none...I think that was the 250K opportunity that was blocked.

My first thought was Valerie B ..but don't think its the answer. Now I have the "One Day at a Time" song stuck in my head!:P
I'm going to go with the Maureen McCormick/Brady Bunch answer..she's a known addict and has been to rehab (one day at a time)..she seems like a straight up bitch, too. So,I'm going with her as the answer as well.

Many of the Brady Bunch actors have gotten together for events, commercials, shows, etc., over the years and in many different combinations. Maureen McCormick's presence has never been an end-all be-all thing. Sometimes she's around, sometimes she's not. For that reason, this blind doesn't seem to fit her very well. There's got to be more to choose from than "The Brady Bunch" with a popular female character and a cast that's mostly not dead. WKRP? 227? The Facts of Life? A Different World?

Okay, now that I've typed other possibilities, I might be on the Marsha Marsha Marsha train after all. Hmmm.
