Awkward is when your dad suggests that you should get a breast lift. More awkward is when your dad goes with you to the appointment and takes over the conversation with the doctor about what would look best. Welcome to the life of this A+ list singer.
Britney Spears
She's enslaved. She's clearly not incapacitated. This isn't temporary and for an emergency. She's an adult and has zero ability to control her money, her body, her life.
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand, he IS her conservator (legal guardian), so he has to be there. No doctor can perform any procedure on her without his consent.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, to take over the conversation like that and discuss your daughter like's a piece of meat and not even there is disturbing and freakish. My heart goes out to her.
I fret about Britney. It wouldn't be difficult, given the amount of $ she's made, to make sure the rest of her life was happy & secure and then just leave her alone. She deserves a break.

ReplyDeleteI agree to an extent, but it's a scary proposition to leave someone with mental illness, addiction issues, and lots of money "alone". She could feasibly buy a large, comfy house in Louisiana and retire, but we've all seen what happen when Britney has too much time on her hands.
ReplyDeleteAt least with her father as conservator, she's busy, working, and closely watched. As sad as it is, I would rather see her this way than shaving her head and attacking paps with an umbrella.
I always thought there was something suspicious about all of this "Conservatorship" business with Britney. To me, it doesn't all add up.
ReplyDeletePeople who have mental issues (bi-polar, schizophrenic) are actually better off when they keep busy and have a hobby or project to work on. So her performing weekly is probably good for her, but for Pete's sake let her live a little, and make some decisions for her. Does he pick what she'll eat everyday or the color she'll have her nails done too? Let her live a little!!!
ReplyDeleteits essentially like car maintainance for him at this point. If she's going to bring in money for a few more years he's got to keep it up. That poor woman could retire with all her money and have a structured life with things to do.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it won't happen for a very long time. She makes too many people way too much money for them to let her stop being their show pony. The whole thing is just sad all around.

ReplyDeleteI don't believe this. Anyone who has a loved one with schizoaffective disorder understands what I am talking about. Repeating her delusions and tales is exploitation IMO.
ReplyDeleteThat's not what she wants. Britney LOVES attention all of the time. Her family cares for her. They've been keeping her from trying to get sexual attention by having random sex in public toilets. THAT is the risky stuff she was up to for years. Plus, all of the different prescription drugs.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm sure it's hardly the first time he's seen her breasts. When she was bad off she was taking off all of her clothing in a department store. I hope she gets the lift. She does seem a little saggy -- as to be expected after 2 children and hardly wearing a bra for several years. If she's happy with it, then I'm happy for her.
