Blind Item #5

This A list mostly movie actress who can never completely shed her iconic television role is in a quandary. She needs surgery on her nose from her years of cocaine abuse but is scared about being put under. She needs the surgery and is contemplating other methods. She had a scary experience when she was put under for a breast lift and since then just won't do it.

I'll never understand people who are *terrified* of anesthesia, but will snort or shoot or swallow or smoke something they buy from some guy their mailman's sister went to school with in Jersey.
I'm not saying they're wrong to be afraid (see also Joan Rivers), just that their standards are rather haphazardly applied. Whatever that 6-degree-separated-guy pulls out of his pocket is good. Anesthesia in a medical facility is bad. Total fuckwit.
I'm leaning towards SJP as well.

I think when people do drugs, they think they're in control (and they are, to some extent). When you have surgery, your life is in someone else's hands. It's the same as when you drive a car and you feel safer than when you are in an airplane, which is completely controlled by someone else. Just my two cents.

They're controlling literally, absolutely nothing about the substance they're using.
It's like saying "I control exactly how much gravel and dog shit I eat so that's why I don't eat pre-portioned food - I must be in control"
It's an education issue, probably. I've taken drugs when I had no idea where they came from or what was in them.....people don't think about that. A person who is a successful film actress ought to have the intellectual capacity to follow a thought thread to Moronville. I'm wrong about that, so I'll shut up now. ;-)
I don't have any idea what I said in this rambly comment - and I haven't even had any drugs!

  10. @Kno - +10000000% ... oogabooga's airplane/car metaphor made me LOL since one is more likely to die in a car crash than a flight precisely BECAUSE you aren't in control. The person ingesting the drugs is in control of the amount and that. is .it your body's chemistry chooses whether you live or die, not you.

  11. Jen will be ecstatic to know she's now A list movie. I'm somewhat of a fan and don't see her as more than B or B+ so, Yay for her.

Well obvs they're not in control of the drug, but it feels like you control the world. Esp cocaine. I've never FELT more in control in my life. Feeings lead to beliefs and yadda yadda DAMMIT IM IN CONTROL! (lol) *od*

  13. I'll go with the SJP guess too. Carrie Bradshaw is a way more iconic character than Rachel Green, and I think Jen has already had a few nose jobs...

Exactly. Aniston has obviously had (a)nose job(s). SJP obv has not. I would rather be Carrie Bradshaw than Rachel Green, I represent the middle-est of American hausfraus, and I truly believe that SJP comes before Aniston in the Holy Celebrity Rankings that shall Never Be Named. Ramen.

It's obvious, that SJP had nose job in past. There is a lot of photos before and after in the net.

I have a feeling it has nothing to do with control at all. They probably had trouble being put under the first time as a Direct Result of their extensive drug use in the past and are concerned that it might cause difficulties once again.
