Blind Item #4- Old Hollywood

This actor is going to be tough to get. A B-/C+ lister at his peak and that was in his last role in a war television show which he was on for three seasons. He did have an acting brother who has Tarantino and Seinfeld in his resume. Anyway, our B-/C+ lister was one of the worst abusers that Hollywood has seen. Both his wife and child were frequent visitors to hospital emergency rooms for the beatings he dished out to them but he was never arrested. The child was taken from the home a few times for her safety.

Filling out what Dotty said--Lawrence Tierney was in Reservoir Dogs and on Seinfeld. He had two acting brothers--Scott Brady had a long career but mostly doing crime and westerns, not war. Also had sons, not a daughter. Edward Tierney had his last big role on _Combat_. But IMDB says both Scott Brady and Edward Tierney had sons, not a daughter.

Someone from MASH. Not Radar or Alda.

TV shows that were on at least 3 years (the actor in question was on for 3 years - the show could have been on longer) that might qualify as Old Hollywood (or have an actor from back then) include Combat!, 12 o'clock High, McHale's Navy & Hogan's Heroes.

    Also, MASH. Great Blind.
Vic's bro was not an actor, would've been my guess. "Tough to get" must be the clue. Good One!

+1000@DottyParka--- imo,no question it's the Tierney Family BUT only looking them up like@Dave S.--just to add to Dave S,'s research,Lawrence Tierney was a terror &an unpredictable brute. He played Elaine's Dad on 'Seinfeld' & they thought that he was so good that they wanted to make Lawrence T.a part of the regular cast UNTIL he stole a knife from the set & then waved it at Jerry Seinfeld (when confronted?). it became a one-time role needless to say...btw,he had one daughter...so m/b mix-up in the above facts in the BI!
Edward Tierney&Scott Brady had sons so far as we know(& as @Dave S. explained) however...
DottyParka seems to know this answer ftw!!

AND BTW, I wrote this all this morning right after @Dave S.'s comment & none of my comment came out so i apologize if i'm repetitive but i just came back on & checked this BI cuz it was so intriguing. g'night.

    Edward Tierney.
Lawrence had a daughter. Edward had two boys with the same woman, subsequently.
Scott Brady(stage name but is another brother who appeared in Gremlins as the cop) is middle brother, uncle to Lawrence's daughter and Edward's two boys.
