This A list mostly movie actor at least when it comes to his franchise larger than life character was replaced in an upcoming movie because of his substance abuse issues.
I dunno. Sony was already considering going in a different direction with Spider-Man, based on the idea of collaborating with Marvel, and that would have always meant recasting Garfield. But I could be wrong - maybe knowing that they were going to have to ditch Garfield anyway is what spurred them to look at a new direction.
I thought maybe Depp/captain Jack Sparrow who is certainly "llarger than life" on a way(exagerrated etc). Only other guess I have is Daniel Craig/James Bond. Spectre is filming but Bond 25 is "announced" with no attachment yet I don't think. And he has/has substance issues
Rob Pattinson replaced by Game of Thrones actor. The movies director gave an oddly worded statement about Pattinson being replaced. He said the other actor showed continued commitment and excitement about his desire for the role.
