Today's Blind Items - Kindness

Not terribly long, but with all the child molesting and breakups, I figured a little kindness blind would be the way to go here. I remember the first time I met this actress. I don't know her, but have met her a couple of times. The first time we were at a bookstore. It doesn't exist any longer. It was over at Sunset And Vine and I was just cutting through the store from the parking garage. I spotted her because I had just been watching her show the night before. It was a hit network show that just crashed and burned when everyone thought they were bigger than the show. Not the adult actors, but the teens and young adults in it. Anyway, she was looking at Starting A Restaurant For Dummies or something like that and I asked something stupid like, "So, are you opening one?" She said she was thinking about it. She never did, but she was not opening it to make a profit. Her goal was to spend some of her money and raise other money and open a soup kitchen that looked like a restaurant. She wanted people to be able to sit down and select rather than just wait in line and then go wander to a table. It is still her goal, but the B list mostly television actress who is out of work right now has worked almost 40 hours a week since her show last aired volunteering in soup kitchens and feeding the homeless. She is out there in the middle of the night passing out blankets and kits. She goes above and beyond even though she could just write a check or stay home with her child.

Gabrielle was my 1st thought too b/c she was the only one who didn't get caught up in all the hype.I just read her wiki page & her father owned a restaurant so there's that too....

Plus she was a helluva lot older than she played, so she would be more sensible

I would be on board with the Gabrielle Carteris guess, but 90210 didn't "crash and burn". It had a long, successful run with most of the principal players staying. Doherty was fired at the beginning and Perry left and came back. Was their anyone else? I don't think anyone got to big for their britches IIRC

I vote a Party Of Five actress

I definetly agree someone on The OC

Rachel Bilson just had a baby and her show Hart of Dixie was cancelled this year.

Like the Kelly Rowan guess the best. The O.C. was undone by the younger actors, I think.

A number of food banks are based on a social enterprise model including the one I run - we operate a gently used clothing, housewares, furniture store and cafe to off set the costs of the food bank and employ a small dedicated team

  19. I just learned that one of the Subway franchisees here in Las Vegas will feed homeless people if they walk up to the drive thru window.
They will give any homeless person one 6" cold cut combo per day for free.
She gives the homeless person a sandwich card and the clerks punch the date on the card -- that way they don't cheat by going to a second store.
No card no sandwich I am told, however.
