He was A= list for long enough that this actor will probably be a permanent A lister. After a very short stint being sober, our actor is back on drugs and his actress wife is right there enabling him.
This morning I saw that Johnny and Amber are in the final "Overhaul" TV show where they pretended to have her 68 Mustang "stolen" and then rebuilt. Sorry, I don't buy that Amber ever had a 68 Mustang.
I just how ironic this would be if it was Affleck /Garner and she's doing it to get the most out of settlement.(it's not), but the ultimate black widow move....
Depp was a nasty druggie who didn't make a decent film over a facade, way before he met Heard. This shtick like the chick is cause to his problems is beyond pathetic.
I said decent film. Not a PG-13 piece of shit that allowed him to buy some high class heroin. And, yes - very clever of you understanding that typo. Excellent movie taste too. lolz
Yeah you're right, lots of money but nothing really decent. I did watch Mortdecai a couple of nights ago and it was 3/4 decent. I wish he would make other movies along that line, ie not Burton directed, not drug related, not Disney.

If Amber was going the famous widow route, she made a mistake taking his drugs with him. He's had YEARS of it, and has done them with some of the most marathon drug users imaginable--Keith, Hunter, etc. She doesn't have his tolerance or his experience. If she isn't careful, she's going to make Johnny a widower.
Mortdecai has the dreadful GOOP in it, so I can't watch that. Anyway, it 12% on Rotten Tomatoes. The last rather decent thing he made was Sweeney Todd, but it was mostly because of the-always-sublime Helena Bonham Carter, and I still prefer the British non-musical(!) version.

He's been doing some really awful movies for quite a while. I don't like the Pirates films but I know kids really do. I like his latest a lot, Black Mass. It's seriously great and he's seriously great in it. Whether they'll nominate him for playing Whitey Bulger, I don't know, but they ought to.
