It is really going to be tough for this EGOT (on a technicality) winner to try and get back to solvent if she keeps playing concerts with only 25% of the seats sold. Promoters are not going to pay her outrageous fee to have a bunch of empty seats.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds to me like the promoters and her booking agent aren't doing their jobs properly and are either not promoting the shows properly, or are booking her into too large of venues.
ReplyDeleteNo, she's just very old and her voice is gone. Sad, but they way of all flesh.
ReplyDeleteIf I remember right I read something about how insane the ticket prices were to see her. Like the lowest price was $150 before all the added fees from Ticketmaster. The majority of her fans are probably older, maybe even retired. They can't afford to pay to see her, so she's only getting small crowds.
