This actress works a bunch. I don't know she finds the time to do as much for other people with her work schedule. She is recurring or better on three shows at once. At once. I'm not sure how she can even keep track of which character she is playing. Her best known role is on a hit cable show. The other two are pretty good though too. Inspired by a trip to the LA Mission and doing volunteer work of the same type in NYC, our actress was back in her hometown last year for a visit. She was shocked at how little was done for the homeless and underprivileged in the community. She thought, because it was a fairly small town, especially compared to LA and NYC that there would be more money and items available. Nope. On her own and through a foundation she has established, she has basically funded the budget for two organizations for a year who serve the homeless and poor.

ReplyDeleteJanney actually was born in a small town grew up in Dayton a little bigger town than where I live, maybe mid-sized.
ReplyDeleteI want to say Tovah Feldshuh. 3 shows best known for walking dead and does charity work. But she's born in NYC and raised scarsdale which is a wealth community a hour away. But there is a lot homeless in Westchester county. She's my best guess.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's Christine Milioti who I'm not that familiar with ,but she is currently on Fargo(cable hit) and has reoccurring roles on The Mindy Project and a lead in A to Z- not sure if renewed for season 2. she's from Cherry Hill, NJ(small town about 2 hours from NYC)

ReplyDeleteI can confirm that Tovah is likely incapable of being the do gooder here. Unfortunately first hand dealings with her(briefly), but benevelant doesn't spring to mind:( Self involved, arrogant and straight up bitchy.

Yeah- she's not really a household name lol- except for theatre folks, I imagine...She's a veteran of the NY stage and that's where I sort had my experiences with her- had a 1 woman show yeeears ago. Super seasoned and gifted, just not super nice:(
