Blind Items Revealed #33

September 18, 2015

If she is in town, and by town, I mean a little town slightly south of Santa Barbara, then you might see her. She is an Academy Award winner/nominee. You could argue she was A+ list at one point. Definitely A list. Foreign born with a permanent A list movie actor husband. Our actress has gone through some issues over the past few years, one of which is trying to keep track of her real age. I digress. Anyway, she has some issues she has worked through including her husband constantly cheating on her. One of the things these issues have caused is a lack of friendship. She has very few friends. Oh, sure she can air kiss with the best of them and put on a big Hollywood fake grin, but it is just fake. Empty. So, there she is, on the little main street in this town, strolling from shop to shop. She has enough money where she spends a few bucks at each store, but it is more a payment for letting her be there and talking to her. She can stay in a store for an hour just talking. Wanting to be talked to. She will make the rounds of her four or five favorite stores over the course of a day. It has nothing to do with what they sell, although her favorite does sell consignment clothing. Nope, what it has to do more with is the person in the store. She goes to shops which will talk to her and entertain her. Converse with her, even for a little while. Everyone in the town loves her and loves spending time with her, but for some reason she never does this with any other people. No one in the industry. No one when she is on sets. Maybe she thinks they are as fake as the air kisses they blow. So, if you are in this town, and it is a weekday, because she only does this on weekdays, don’t be surprised to see her in stores, seated on a chair, talking and smiling and laughing and at the end of it, purchasing something to make it look like it was all business, when it is really her trying to find a friend.

  1. Kinda sad, but then just ask anyone who works in shop on main street, or a donut shop, or even a bar. There are always people who just like hanging out and love to chat with staff or other customers. If CZJ comes into where I work and wants to hang out, I would let her and we can chat away. I would only gush once and tell her I loved her in Young Catherine, and that would be the extent of celebrity talk. Though I would ask her if she has seen Dawn French's impersonation of her, which is really good and not unflattering.

mental illness sometimes can be worse than physical illness. you walk around looking normal and healthy but inside the pain makes you want to die

I'm guessing the little town south is Carpinteria, CA. Not much between Santa Barbara and Ventura.

  4. I feel bad for her. It must be tough to exist in the world of Hollywood--with all the fakery, backstabbing, and cheating--if you have a fragile psyche and less than a steady grip on life. Sad

Or Montecieto - where Oprah has her pad.

This is sad. She should volunteer with a couple of local charities. She'd be able to interact with people far removed from the "phoniness" of Hollywood, while simultaneously helping others.

I used to work retail and every Tuesday was senior discount days. You had to be prepared because there were elderly who came in because it was their only chance to socialize. She probably has no one she can trust in her "real" life.

I'd be friends with her and let her sit all day. I used to "work" with a woman like her for two years. She was lonely and volunteered where I worked. She was a riot and too much fun to be around. We wound up hanging outside of work too. We lost touch over time and then I moved. I cherished our friendship and hoped she had a good time too.

Yeah i would totally be her friend. Chicago practically changed my life. She's so talented. That made me sad though!! At least the people in the town like her.

  10. My cousin was in the business and spent some time with CZJ. He said she was one of the loveliest people he'd ever met, and he wasn't talking about her looks (though he was certainly impressed with her looks, to the point where his wife got annoyed). And he's met a LOT of people over the years.

  11. Once I heard that she liked to fish, I'd definitely be CJZ's friend, because I would love to be out on the water and fishing every day (except for storms, of course). She's always struck me as a very lonely person. And it must be awful to live with bipolar disorder.

I think we are all a product of our environment. Bc almost anyone can be diagnosed with something. She's had a fake/exciting life and even though she's up and down... She still deserves better.

  17. Isn't Carpenteria, CA the place where cheating celebrities go to be together without the Paps?
I remember a rumor or blind that Ash-ton and Mila frequented this city for alone time long before being "spotted" together in LA -- and I think it was even before Demi's divorce decree.
I could be wrong. I even think Mel Gibson and Denzel Washington would have an evening out with some one other than their significant others, too?

Poor woman. Micheal Douglas just sucked the life out of her. Maybe she should consider going back to London to be with her family and friends, instead of following her jackass of a husband around.

I still haven't forgiven him for telling the world that she gave him throat cancer.

She's in a business where you really can't have friends. Other actresses, nannies, even family, will all sleep with her husband if they think it will get them a role.

I always hated her husband. He's such a lumpy glob of life sucking gray, he reminds me of Jabba the Hutt.

I wonder if he isolates and controls her. When she lived in London she had real friends and family around her.

Talk about not being able to trust ANYONE…I knew a psychiatrist about 5 years ago who had treated CZJ during one of her rehab stays. He would talk about her treatment, to select patients - always in terms of his "professional opinion", but of course, he loved feeling important.

    Appalling.

(and yes…someone wrote the APA about him.)

+1000. I was a waitress when I was in college and a clerk at a flea market for awhile. We had regulars who came in every day mostly for the company. It was my favorite part of those jobs because they were really nice people.

Actually, this sounds like a lovely way to spend an afternoon. When is being casually social considered "sad"? What's sad is sitting alone in my guest room spending my New Year's weekend on CDAN.

@TopperMadison, I Agree. I like to browse shops on my own (don't have to hang around for friends, and don't have husband/kids complaining I'm taking too long). I'll also do girls' shopping trips with old friends. I think Montecito is where her father in law lives. She is seen out in New York and London with friends.

    It's Montecito.

Yep. They love to go sneaking/creeping in Carpinteria.

Carp is a nice town, very quiet, really tiny and has a great beach - as in a really fantastic beach. They can picnic, take walks on the beach, whatever, and no one will know or bother them. There's also a cool harbor seal preserve/rookery. It's much lower profile than Santa Barbara or Montecito but it needs better restaurants.

Miss Cruise goes to a Thai place over there.

  27. I don't think there is anything sad about this. She recognizes the reality of her situation. It's more than most can claim.
