Ticket sales have been abysmal for this A+ list singer and her world tour. Well, upcoming world tour. Considering she doesn’t want to go through with it anyway, it won’t take much for her to pull the plug on it and save her from the embarrassment.

ReplyDeleteWhy wouldn't she want to tour? It may be a pain in the ass to travel around but it's where musicians and singers make their real money these days, not albums.

ReplyDeleteRihanna's certainly not over. Kanye supposedly made a mess of her album so she ended up re-recording the whole thing in just a few months. That coupled with the fact she was selling dates to the tour way before the album or lead single came out = sloppy era.

She is the current face of Christian Dior's Secret Garden line, the first-ever black woman to front a Dior campaign.
She is tied for third-most number-one hits in history, topped only by Mariah Carey and Elvis Presley.
But she fell victim to drugs/alcohol and, perhaps, an inflated sense of her own importance.
I won't deny: I am obviously a Rihanna fan, and am rooting for her to get her act together.
Drugs are bad, m'kay? But I don't understand what she's done to make people hate her?

ReplyDeleteAlso, Rihanna has put out seven Billboard Top-Ten albums since she was first discovered in Barbados 13 years ago.
She was Billboard's Artist of the Decade in 2010.
I heard the same story as AyyyPapi, below, that Kanye hijacked her album by producing it and then refusing to let her release it.
Basically you said why people hate her--she is full of herself and treats people badly. Plus she really did all of that in 7 years and hasn't really done anything since 2012 until last month. In pop music that's a lifetime. No musician can afford to take 4 years off and stay popular these days.

ReplyDeleteover? 15 minutes? limited talent? hello... have you heard rihanna sing? i didn't know she was going on tour. i'd go see her in a heartbeat. preferably not an arena show - i prefer more intimate shows - so hopefully she'll do that instead.
ReplyDeleteI went to her concert in Phoenix about a week ago and it was full. The date was postponed however, it was supposed to be back in March but I can imagine it was because sales weren't that good, the ticket sale started months before "Work" came out so maybe that's was the reason.
