Blind Item #10

This A- list mostly movie actress sounds like she could be foreign born, but actually isn't. She is an Academy Award winner/nominee who has been very fortunate the past few years. Her career could have crashed and burned when she refused the legendary advances of this producer/mogul. He threatened to destroy her career but she found a mentor who actually is not afraid to go to war with the mogul and the mogul backed down.

I think Derek has this. I always assumed Saoirse Ronan was Irish, and indeed have seen her on lists of Irish actresses. If she's Brooklyn-born, she fits the description perfectly, plus JF is absolutely a mentor with the clout, connections, and nerve to go toe-to-toe with Weinsten.

While I agree it's Ronan, I think you're overstating Jodie's clout. Her career's been on a downturn for years. She got a movie directing gig from Clooney but otherwise her work has been limited to directing an episode of Orange is the New Black - not exactly A lister luster there.

It must be somebody at Fox Searchlight which released Brooklyn.

  13. I never could understand why Mr. Weinstein looked elsewhere when married to one of the most beautiful and creative women on earth. I guess I don't understand men.

Jodie has clout relative to Harvey. Her career is not as hot as it was, but neither is that horrible ogre with the hairy stomach flapping over his dick.

  19. She walked away from her acting career by herself. Jodie could be easily in some of the Marvel movies, RDJ tried to convince her to do some, but it seems she doesn't want to act anymore (which is sad, since in my humble opinion she is one of the greatest actress of our time), and now consider herself as a full time director.

Also she was nominated already for an Emmy and for a DGA award for directing so she is pretty good in that area as well.

And good for Saoirse(if this is her) to stick with her values. There is a huge career in front of that young lady.

JLie must have been very nice to Harvey

  22. Which is interesting because Jodie directed JLaw in The Beaver, and she always spoke very highly about her, even wrote for Time from Lawrence a few years ago.

  23. Chapman is drop dead gorgeous, but creative???

    Marchesa is sooooooooooooooooooooooo tacky!
It would have never been a world renown label, had she not had Weinstein's connections, to dress every actress in Hollywood in her garments.
