Blind Item #1

This actor has spent a career being the indie king. Back in the day they were small indies. Now, they are studio films but seem like big indies. Anyway, he was going to transition over to television but that may not happen. Everyone saw him doing drugs inside his latest premiere. While it was showing up on the big screen, our actor was doing bumps of what looked like coke, but some said it was heroin. Either way, it is questionable if he is going to land this once in the bag tv gig.

    No. He's a control freak and he's always been discreet about his vices. Redford spent many years being a dedicated drinker. Some of his best roles were done completely shitfaced and no one knew (except the people who worked with him). He smoked a lot of weed when he quit drinking and I don't think he even does that anymore but he's still friends with Willie Nelson. Doing coke or heroin now, in his old age, in the open at a screening? Not a chance in hell that it's Redford.

    The key is that he was a "sure thing" for a major tv role. That doesn't scream Phoenix or Dano to me, neither is what I would call tv-friendly. Maybe Cusak and even more likely Rockwell.

    Again, is Jason Schwartzman boy the only viable candidate? His Brother's gild debut was at TriBeCa film festival a couple wks back and that's surely a forum in which to feel free to partake in whatever drugs are surrounding you.
