Blind Item #2

At the Billboard Music Awards it was apparent to all that were working behind the scenes that at least for one event a torch had been passed. The opening act was treated much better and had was given much more love and respect than the one named singer who is a permanent A+ lister. This was not unnoticed by the one named singer who threw a bunch of diva fits just to make sure people still snapped to attentions when she demanded.

  3. I didn't watch, but from what I read about the show/performances, Brittany ROCKED her performance and was incredible while Madonna sounded tired didn't really do Prince songs any justice.
I did see a couple of photos and Brit is looking great. I just hope she's happy deep down inside. As for Miss Madge...is it just me or is Madonna started to look like that crazy Cat-Lady w/ the plastic surgery face. Why do these women think the fillers make them look good? They look CRAZY and weird ....as if they have play-dough faces.

If it is Madonna, that torched was passed over a decade ago, when she and Brit Brit lip locked at the 2003 VMAs.

I thought Madonna was decent...She wasn't spectacular but nothing would impress die-hard Prince fans anyways. Prince respected her as an artist and they were friends--so he would probably be happy with the tribute.

Everyone was fingers crossed for brit...Her majesty Madonna had no dancers, small production...just a throne and some stairs. The Britney thing was like three stages and two thousand back up dancers.

  7. I don't know what people were expecting from Madonna. Like Britney, she's always been a performer first and a singer second. At least she had the balls to sing live (even if her voice was mediocre). I heard that Brit lip-synched as usual, but I also didn't watch, so that may be misinformation.

Brit didn't sing live, and can barely walk much less dance these days. Not that Madonna did much better vocally, but come on...take the blinders off! Britney is not ever going to be anything but a hack. And Madonna suffers from delusions of granduer....but at least she wore pants. So there is that.

I don't understand the hate for lipsyncing when the person is dancing around like a fiend. You can't sing and do that....sorry. At least Britney actually sung those songs in real life...she isn't some Milli Vanilli. lol...Madonna on the other hand sat there and sounded awful.

madonna is ANCIENT. no one in the demographic that matters to the music industry gives a f//k about her. she is a grandma who still thinks she's relevant. most kids dont even know her music and have only heard our parents MAYBE listenign to it. not even.

,NO way. Kids know who Madonna is---teenagers (that follow music) respect her as a pop icon and she has had number singles constantly from 1981 till around 2007. And she still charts and her tour was the second highest grossing last year behind U2.

"I don’t understand the hate for lipsyncing when the person is dancing around like a fiend."

Jesus Christ, what does that have to do with Britney Spears, who loiters on a stage like all the tranquilizer darts have all kicked in all at once?

Britney lips songs because she CAN'T sing; not because the poor thing is out of breathe.

So fucking sick of her fake, no-talent "talent".

The torch has been passed to Britney Spears? Drugged up,lifetime conservatorship and hardly functioning Britney Spears? I would have believed this 10 years ago but not now.

  21. Gossip cops denied this story but hey whatever fits your agenda. As for Britney if lipsynching to her 10 y/o songs whild moving like a robot in rehearsals in a subpar Showgirls number is what people find fantastic well that explains a lot.

  22. God you are so right, I could not figure out what people were screaming for. She walked around stages, swung her weave, then occasionally lip-synced. She was horrific.

How can spaced out Britney have the torch? Maybe everyone was nice to her because they know she's not completely sane.

  24. She lip-synced the entire thing

False, bitch. Britney can sing and has sang live in the past. I know you're not that interested, but there are videos on YouTube of her singing live, and it's obvious that she really is, because doesn't sing the song exactly the same as the track. Sure, she's no Mariah or Whitney, but she CAN sing.

Looked to me like Britney's dancers were 'guiding' her through the routine. She looked unsure and off-balance.

Elton John is right. Madonna lip synchs and is fake as hell. Prince deserved a better tribute. Lenny would have been perfect.
