To capture as much attention as possible, this A+ list singer plans on getting engaged a few days before her actor boyfriend hits the Emmy red carpet. It will be their first appearance after the engagement.
I mean it's a little pathetic and reeks of something Kimye would do but damn, at least this is more interesting than Tay and Calvin <that was a snoozefest.
I think this is a smart move by Tom. (Taylor reportedly made $170 Million last year.) If this is an arranged bearding situation between the two, then good for them.
I'll stick by my maximum publicity scenario - "pregnancy", "miscarriage", then parting as friends. They both get tons of sympathy. She gets tons of songs out of it.
Remember she was supposed to marry the d.j. and live in a scottish castle? Kinda like the aniston is pregnant rumours, every time they need publicity. I call b.s., pretty much over in the next few months, hence the ultra stunting now.

When Swift's young fans grow up and they find out about this thing of hers she does.....it will look REALLY bad on her. I don't think she thinks about the future when she's older, not the popstar she is of the 2010s.....and doesnt have the pull/power to keep secrets,secrets.

Thing is he's lost so much of the press goodwill he'd built up, the fans are split down the middle between those who are walking and those who think HE walks on water and the critics/industry people I follow are the ones posting the most snark about the whole thing. Surely this is doing more harm than good. If it was all about Bond then it's spectacularly backfired. While it might raise his profile it's no good if all it can get him cast in is Sharknado 5
If he was married then banns would have to be posted for 6 weeks before at church or notice given and posted at local registry office before licence was granted and it would be a searchable matter of public record. Before the legal change 'Civil Partnerships' were logged in the UK the same way. To marry outside the UK you still need to post the banns/give notice of marriage - would have been a record of anything other than a private commitment ceremony (which would have no legal force) . His UK PR have been absolutely silent no mention of him at all until the Emmy noms... dont think this is their hands but could be very wrong

I don't understand the issue...she's a major star. Stars marry each other all the time..she's young and intelligent...the media is chasing it...they just doing what people do when they fall in love...does he have to be a douche and go thru two models a month for his career?
i would love to see how Sophie Hunter handles being upstaged by Taylor. she hates not being the center of attention. unless they're not showing up together because she has to stay home and look after the baby.

FWIW, I think Hiddles has backed himself into a corner on this one, whether it was for PR or not initially. He is, after all, 35, his movie career isn't going where he'd hoped, and his previous "relationships" with women have been shadowy and insubstantial. I think he knows it's time to nail the het flag to the mast so why not the rich and ever so much more famous Swift? I'm betting on an engagement, huge wedding circus, baby, and huge divorce circus in five years. I think she looks like a hard as nails sociopath and he seems pathetically immature and desperate. It's such a shame given all the advantages he was born to and with - he's actually way more talented than she is. Oh well - I expect to be well and truly unable to stand the sight of popcorn by the time this one is over . . .
