Blind Items Revealed #1

June 15, 2016

This just about permanent A list mostly movie actress who likes directing is saying some rightfully nasty things about a couple of other A listers. She thinks they bailed on her for a lot of press they were supposed to do for a movie when they realized it was going to bomb. She had to do most of it solo and is really upset.

Jodie Foster/George Clooney/Julia Roberts/Money Monster

Hopefully she was sufficiently stung by these borderline has-been divas. I love JF. She's better off using talented actors with range.

At least the actors who bailed tried to preserve a shred of credibility. I am so tired of hacks shilling such lousy product all the time...

It's a shame that the non-comicbook movies suck and bomb because it tells the studios not to make any and stick to comics and cartoons.

And it was Jodie's movie. They are just actors. If she didn't make a bad film this wouldn't happen

  5. George Clooney is no longer a star. He's like Parks and Rec Duke Silver. A sex symbol for women of a certain age, but no longer a box office draw. Execs keep casting him b/c as the Sony leak showed he's a consummate professional. He really needs new management who can help him shape a new vision and direction if he wants to make a comeback from how he flushed his public goodwill on the famewhoring with Amal.

  6. Making a movie is like playing craps: you roll the dice and pray you don't roll a 7!

  7. But FFS, "Money Monster" looked and sounded like a cringe-worthy 1980s stinker. I mean, in this era when there is so much smart stuff out there, Jodie actually does deserve for that whiff of shit to remain on her if that's what she's going to produce.

Jodie has more talent in her little finger etc. GC I can bear although he thinks he's a better actor than he is, but JR can eff off, horrible woman. Your bad attitude is showing on that used-to-perfect face, Julia.

I agree about George and Julia, but Jodie Foster is no prize either. She's as over as the rest of them.

Whatever you think of Foster when actors/actresses sign up for millions of dollars to make a movie there is an expectation that they will do press for it whether it sucks or not.

  12. Hate to break it to you Enty, but Money Monster was not a bomb. Check boxofficemojo please:

it even made profit in the US, and had triple as much money worldwide what it costed.

For names like Clooney and Roberts, a movie that pulls in only $40 mill in the US is considered a bomb.

I'm wondering if marketing costs are even figured into the production cost numbers. That would drag it down even more.

Agree with TexasRose, they were paid to promote it. Honestly, Julia Roberts isn't going to be asked to do any more films if she isn't willing to promote them (and not sure why Clooney is still being asked... his best role was on South Park).
