This permanent A list singer is a diva. She might be the divas of all divas. Anyway, apparently she can't stop smoking and drinking long enough to get her teeth whitened. They are atrocious. Instead, when she has photographs to take, she just puts in some fake teeth that are pearly white.

There are quite a few of them. It can also affect the timbre of a voice, which may be what they're going for. Amy Winehouse's smoky blues voice only benefited from smoking, in my opinion.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of tenors! Back in the day I got a phone call from my daughter's teacher asking me if I ever dated a famous opera singer. Well, not DATED, but saw him from time to time. Why? Evidently my daughter had volunteered to the class that I had slept with him and he was the worst lay ever! Stunned silence on my end. Giggles galore on the other end. I fessed up. Asked my daughter not to 'share' so much in the future.
