This foreign born B+ list mostly movie actress is having a tough time getting work. Studios have basically closed the door on her and she has been forced to take overseas paycheck roles just to even get any acting jobs.
Maybe she's a pain in the twat to work with and there are so many more talented women out there who aren't. Ever thought of that? The Days Of The Divas are played, y'all!!! Ovah!
I think Emma's in pretty good shape-she's got "Beauty & The Beast" coming out which will be hugely popular (i think) and she has "The Circle" which has good buzz/good cast.
Penelope Cruz. Filming Escobar in Spain and Bulgaria and the Untitled Asghar Farhadi Project (Spanish/French production)both produced by Bardem also. Before that The Queen of Spain...lots of overseas projects anyway.
She is very camera friendly for sure, but I do think she shines in European film projects, or certainly the work she has done with Almodovar. Agree though that the AA for VCB was-- maybe a bit surprising. It was hardly revelatory....
I think it might be Diane Kruger. She's older now, looks fabulous, but isn't young enough anymore to play the young parts. Not old enough looking to play the old parts. I also read somewhere that the roles are drying up for her in the US. Same thing happened to Sharon Stone.
