This singer is one of the best and has an amazing voice To me, it is a crime she will always be remembered for something she wore. One night after a show we were talking and having a drink and a guy came up behind her and said something like, “I heard singers give great head.” As he did this he was reaching around and grabbing her breasts. She screamed like only she can and bit his hand and then turned around and kneed him in the balls. It was over in like five seconds.

ReplyDeleteMad love for her. The Sugarcubes were an amazing band, her solo stuff is always interesting and often brilliant, and her acting performance (hopefully there will be more someday) in "Dancer In The Dark" was fantastic. And she can take care of herself.

Yes! But that "dress" (still unsure: was it a somewhat unstuffed stuffed animal or an inflatable pool toy?) was an abomination.

ReplyDeleteMarlene Dietrich and Travis Banton designed it for a costume party. Of course Marlene rocked it. I've always been perplexed that nobody seems to have made the connection with Bjork's version!
