Blind Item #4
Studios are ticked off at this A list mostly movie actress and her recent comments. She has been going about 25% on promoting movies and has been taking advice from a director that studios hate. Oh, plus she is ticking off fans. One studio head already crossed her off a list for the lead in a box office flick that she had been "circling."

ReplyDeleteJLaw being deliberately rude to fans. Considering execs have to recoup all the money invested, I don't know why they don't add clauses to the contract to 1. be nice for at least 12 months before and after the movie release, 2. keep your ignorant mouth shut about politics or other social issue that will piss off the paying audience.

ReplyDeleteDarren Aronofsky her new boyfriend is a director he normally directs some dark indie movies but directed the massive budget Noah movie a few years back it ended up being a bomb and vost the studio a lot of money. He also made the film set into a green environmental environmental so much so that he banned bottled water and Emma Watson ended up being so thirsty she drank stagnated water and got very ill but he made her keep working.

ReplyDeleteHer flippant attitude towards a Hawaii sacred site was off putting. She thinks she's cute but she's coming off as an entitled and rude person. What's a celebrity with no fans left? : unemployed.

ReplyDeleteBully her into accepting lower pay. Just because shes a women. ( and I'm not bias: we all know that wife- beating, drug riddeled, drunk, phsycotic, male actires & directors just keep on working & making millions).
Probably not Lawrence. Passengers aside she's top BO and that's the only metric that counts. Another flop or two then maybe.
ReplyDeleteExactly. I am on the fence about her but I like her a lot more than her contemporaries (Emma Stone, K-Stew, ScarJo etc) PLUS she watches the same trashy shows I do! And of course they do not want to pay her more money-So maybe they are worried she is hanging with directors like Darren and is choosing to do the indie route for a while. It worked well for Nicole Kidman but Kidman never had much box office success beforehand.

ReplyDeleteIt's not Jennifer Lawrence...Lawrence promoted the shit out of Passengers and even did regional press which A+ list stars like Lawrence NEVER do (this according to Deadline).
ReplyDeleteAlso, remember when an actress has brought billions to the box office, has Oscar cred and known to be an exceptional actress with a good rep on set, it takes a herculean effort for studios/academy to stop hiring you.
The BI in question sounds more like a rumor that a rival is trying to spread but it won't work...those who matter, who do the hiring know better.
How exactly has Lawrence been rude to fans??...that's baloney. I can't think of a single instance during the promotion for Passengers where ANY fan has commented that Lawrence was rude.

It's also worth noting that nowhere in the BI does Enty write that this actress is an academy award winner/nominee (as he always does) nor allude to the big budget Passengers at all.

It didn't happen. What, were you there. I wasn't, but I will go by her own admission of 'going over' to the dark side. No need for sanctimony asking for specifics for proof. We enjoy these blinds from the comfortable distance of our couches remember. It's not like fans are going to take to twitter to complain. But use your google machine and it will come up. I don't know exactly what passes as "rudeness," but it's some new observation attributed to her. She feels like fans encroach on her personal space (fair) and asking for autographs and selfies (the horror).

ReplyDeleteHer backlash is coming. After years of the media kissing her behind. She's been quoted plenty of times saying offensive thing and she comes across as a bigot. Passengers was an expensive critical/commercial flop!

ReplyDeleteThe source is the tabloid, The Telegraph (during an interview with Lawrence) and nowhere in the interview were specific accounts of fan interaction/rudeness brought up.

No, Shailene fits the "mostly movie" actress description because she did that TV show where she was the pregnant teen. That just finished its run in 2013. By contrast, JLaw's last TV work (Bill Engvall show) finished up in '09.

ReplyDeleteWhomever it is, is NOT an academy award nominated actress and is not promoting their films much, is A-List not A+ list. Also, the subject of the blind's film is not big budget either.
All of these details run contrary to Jennifer Lawrence so, again, this Blind is not about Lawrence.
