Originally this A+ list singer agreed to do this former A+ list singer turned A- lister turned actress a huge favor during a performance. Now? Not so much. The A+ lister heard what the A- list singer had in mind and ran away quickly. No controversy ever for the A+ lister.

Not trying to be political here, but if she goes on and says something anti-Trump on the centerpiece of the NFL and causes potential problems for the league, her career is dead.
ReplyDeleteLady Gaga is an incredible artist. But she's barely hanging on and better think about what she does. As far as Beyoncé goes, this seems to be the best decision she's made in a long time.

Lets say she does nothing political at all... won't it be amusing to see both sides claim a victory? NFL will accept praise for keeping a lid on her, and Gaga will accept praise for showing restraint and civility (the "right time and place" argument). Publicity drummed up to get everyone talking before and after without actual controversy. Win/Win.

Plus In the past 12 months she's won a Golden Globe , performed at the Oscars, had a #1 album, a #1 single and is performing at the SB. Hardly a "fall in popularity".
