Grandfather Stops Kidnapping Of Granddaughter

kid

Cops say a grandfather stopped an attempted kidnapper from snatching his 3-year-old from a California park over the weekend.

The Auburn Police Department says the incident unfolded Saturday when a woman they identified as 28-year-old Lindsay Frasher approached a family and grabbed the little girl in a bear hug.

Frasher allegedly then "attempted to physically take the female child away," police said.

However, as the little girl's family watched in horror, the grandfather fought back in what Sgt. Gary Hopping called "a tug of war over the little girl."

Cops say the grandfather prevailed and members of the girl's family held Frasher at the scene while waiting for authorities to arrive.

Officials say Frasher didn't know little girl or her family.

Frasher was arrested on kidnapping charges and her bail was set at $200,000.

Ok I read this article on yahoo and the comments were crazy. They were almost more for the kidnapper not getting hurt. I'm stunned at the world sometimes.

Pic is just a myspace angle, but from the looks of it, the judge should sentence her to 6-12 months chained to a lolly column in my basement. She'll either be rehabilitated or suicidal, either way she won't be a threat.

Why is this story here? As said above, it was already featured on other websites. Please stick to celebrity stories. Hope this helps.

  4. Saw this yesterday, too. Didn't read the entire story because this is a sad situation.
There are way too many people with mental health issues NOT being attended to.
(Maybe today, I will finish reading about it.)

PS: I like Enty adding human interest stories like this to his blog. i think it goes along with some of the mental issue story lines celebrities suffer/have in their daily lives. In this manner, us non-celebrity folks are similar to celebrities.

  7. +1, @david. And again, FFS people, IF YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING, DON'T READ IT. It is really the simplest thing in the world, but people would rather bitch about other people's choices than do something to help themselves.
