Much like the person she is replacing, this A- lister doesn’t care who is writing the check, just as long as it is big and clears. Our A- list singer talks a big game about gay rights, but as part of the big payday can’t say anything negative which might relate back to the event she is playing for the check. In other words, until after she plays, she probably won’t say anything.

ReplyDeleteJim Crow laws had nothing to do with Chuck's being arrested for crossing state lines with a 14 year old, videotaping women in the bathroom of his restaurant, committing tax evasion, or comitting armed robbery. Chuck was a talented musician with low morals, and did some inexcusable things.

ReplyDeleteThere are no angels. Never have been, never will be. Berry was a very troubled man. He also was a talented man. One fact does not negate the other. Just like Micheal Jackson. Some people refuse to believe what he did since he was never convicted and will purchase and listen to his music. Others believe he was guilty and paid (settlements) his way out of it. You can refuse to purchase their products and never watch or listen to them, or you can separate the artist from the art and go with that. Either way, the choice is yours and you are free to make it (for now, at least).
