Madonna Not A Fan Of Unauthorized Movie About Her Early Singing Career

Madonna has made it clear that she isn't a fan of a planned biopic that will focus on her pre-fame life.

Universal recently acquired the rights to "Blond Ambition," a script about the singer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Brett Ratner is expected to produce the film, which centers on her struggles in New York while making her first album.

On Tuesday, Madonna took to Instagram to express her displeasure. She said that only she was qualified to tell her story and "anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool."

She likened it to "instant gratification" without doing the work and called it a disease of our society.

  1. No wonder she's touchy, with all the people she stepped on and used on her way to the top.

not to mention her nightly habit of driving around trolling the streets for hot young latino guys to pick up. it's a miracle she doesn't have aids. there is no way this is going to paint her in the flattering light she'd need to make her appear anything other than trashy, desperate and opportunistic. they say that as you age you get the face you deserve.....

  3. Yes Madonna you tell your story....guarantee 98% of it would be pure fiction!

  4. Madonna first album can be used for the film since she did not write most of the songs. I think this is a fantastic idea. Madonna early years are of legend. She scrapped and clawed her way to the top due to determination.

Anything that makes Madonna unhappy makes me happy.

  6. Yes this should bring publicity to the film. Same with Britney complaining about her Lifetime film.

  7. IMAO: 'Unathorized' bio's are usually more truthful than not.
She was ambitious and stepped on and used a lot of people on her way to the top.
    Oh, well.
Not watching it either way it turns out.

  8. Well, if nothing else, it's nice to see an old photo of Madonna before she had the chicken cutlets installed in her face.

She should've ignored it, don't gift them the attention. Delete the podcasts.

  10. Whether you hate her or love her, she is right. I don't think anyone of us would be happy with anyone profiting from our own life and experiences.

This probably means it should be a fairly accurate portrayal.

Her "pre-fame life" is akin to a porn movie. Who didn't this skank sleep with to get ahead? She was the role model for everyone who came after him--the
skankier you are, the better off you will be.
