Blind Item #11

This foreign born A+ list mostly movie actress might not be A+ list in your mind, but she is. Top 5 earner even though most of you have never heard of her. She has an empire and part of that empire is keeping those in power happy with her. So, she recruits models from her own country and others and passes them out like party favors to keep her place at the top.

+1...she's definitely one of the highest paid Indian actresses and very in demand.

this confirms my theory that enty's rating system, which people complain about daily, is not based on public popularity but on their standing in the industry.

Which may not translate into ticket sales at all.

I always thought Aishwarya was only relevant in 2017 for being drop dead gorgeous and her annual Cannes appearances.

  8. Not even a chance. Enty's ratings are beyond F'd up, and BTW, for Hollywood, public popularity IS your standing in the industry.

I think Just Sayin' meant "public popularity in Hollywood/America" (as opposed to globally/internationally). Enty said he assumes you (his American audience who sees an English actor as "foreign-born") have probably have never heard of this actress, but she's a "Top 5 Earner", which sounds like she's from Bollywood (India currently has a population of 1.3 billion compared to the US's 300-ish million, and for context: a country like the Netherlands only has about 17 million people).

Nobody of the American "public" can know you in America, but [maybe] in Hollywood if you've got an army of that many ticket-buyers from your home country, you've "standing" in the industry. You don't even have to be A-list back home to bring that many bums-in-seats in (people will see the film out of curiosity just to see "one of their own" in a Hollywood film—even if they're only on-screen for a split-second).

Maybe not in America, but in a foreign country with an even bigger population.

I always remember her from her daily use of face masks (which reminds me I should put on now right now—it's been a while). LOL.
