Blind Items Revealed #1

May 30, 2017

His latest movie might be a box office bomb, but unlike his head in the sand former tweener co-star, the studios love this A+ list mostly movie actor. They love that when faced with a bomb he is out there promoting it just as hard, if not harder, and he is going to lock up some big paychecks because of it. On the flip side, the former tweener is just bad luck.

Dwayne Johnson/Zac Efron

I've not seen Batwatch but good on The Rock for doing that. That's one of the reasons why people like him!

  2. 'The Rock' always puts his best effort forward regardless of the situation.

Baywatch wasn't a bomb because Zac is bad luck. It was a bomb because the whole idea sucked.

Summer movie based upon a popular global tv show with hot bodies and humour? should have been a hit if it was any good.

I never saw a review that gave it more than 1 and a half stars.

Zac is the human embodiment of "fetch."

Stop trying to make fetch happen, it's not gonna happen.

I pretty much stay away from any movie Zak Efron is in. Why can't he choose something better?

I saw it (Wonder Woman was sold out). Turned off my brain, feasted on the eye candy and goofy nostalgia, and enjoyed it for what it was. The 21 jump street franchise does this type of comedy better, but baywatch was fine for a bit of dumb fun on a summer night.

They were trying to copy the 21 jump street movie, but didn't pull it off

This movie honestly shouldn't have seen the light of day and was doomed from the start. With that said, I think it's unfair to put a lot of the blame on Zac for the movie failing. To his credit, he was very active promoting the film on his social media accounts and for being a trooper on that insane press tour. I'm rooting for him to succeed and hope he finds something where can prove himself.

The facts don't add up. 1) The Rock didn't promote Baywatch because he was filming Rampage his next movie. 2) The Rock did the premiere in Miami and Berlin. 3) Zac traveller to Miami, Sydney, Berlin and London for press junkets (check Youtube) 4) Zac got better reviews for performance.
